Motorcyclist Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash

A car turned left in front of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, killing the biker.

(CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore.) - motorcyclist killed Sadly, this type of accident has been seen before, too many times. Sunday afternoon at about 4:48 Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 224 near milepost 15. It was a fatal.

Officials say the preliminary investigation revealed a Buick Lesabre, operated by 88-year old Violet Sullivan of Estacada, was traveling westbound on Hwy 224 and turned left in front of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle operated by 65-year old Russell Nelson of Portland.

Wild Turkey Causes Fatal Motorcycle crash on Hwy 97

The crash happened approximately two miles north of Moro, Oregon.

(SHERMAN COUNTY, Ore.) - wild turkeys Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by 55-year old Vanesa Gunther of Junction City, Oregon, was traveling southbound on Hwy 97 when a wild turkey collided with her after flying into a northbound commercial motor vehicle.

Gunther sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Head-on Crash on Highway 97 Kills Bend Woman

Second vehicle's driver and passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

(KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash A two-vehicle head on fatal crash on Highway 97 Thursday evening claimed the life of a 19-year old Bend resident. July 18th at 7:30 p.m., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the area near milepost 197 in Klamath County.

The investigation revealed that a white 2005 Jeep Liberty was traveling southbound on Highway 97 and for unknown reasons, drifted onto the southbound shoulder.

OR 34 Corvallis-Lebanon Highway Cleanup Underway

The highway is open, but you should expect lane closures and delays

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Hwy 34 flooding Crews began removing debris, clearing culverts and rebuilding shoulders today on OR 34, Corvallis-Lebanon Highway, between Colorado Lake Drive and Peoria Road.

Flood waters closed the road between Tuesday night and Friday morning. As of April 13, an eastbound lane remained closed at the OR 34 Bypass and the Bypass was closed between OR 99W and OR 34. Single lane closures should be expected for at least two weeks.

Hwy 18 at Dayton Closed for Hours Due to Crash into Bridge

The bridge crosses the Yamhill River, and is a main thoroughfare for travelers.

(DAYTON, Ore.) - truck crash A wood chip truck on its way from Willamina to Vancouver with a full load of chips crashed Monday morning near Dayton, closing Hwy 18 in both directions from 9 o'clock until after 4 p.m.

Travelers going south were detoured around the closure using Kreder Road which connects to 99W just north of Lafayette. Those traveling north were detoured through Lafayette, causing enormous back up for thousands of vehicles.

Serious Crash Injures 3 Near Grand Ronde

Hebo Hwy 22 was closed for over 2 hours

(GRAND RONDE, Ore.) - traffic crash About 7 pm this evening, a serious accident happened when a single vehicle crashed into a tree on Hwy 22 near West of the Church of the Wildwoods at milepost 15.5.

Emergency crews found 2 people entrapped in the vehicle and one on the ground. Heavy extrication was needed, with crews removing the top of the vehicle.

(BROOKINGS, Ore.) - Hooskanadan slide The Hooskanadan slide is still active this morning. Traffic is detouring using Carpenterville Highway. Freight restrictions are in effect and motor carrier enforcement officers are on both sides checking traffic.

Drivers are reminded that Carpenterville Highway is a long, narrow and winding road with steep grades and an elevation change of 1,700 feet.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon traffic crash This morning at about 7:45, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a multi-vehicle crash on I-5 between mile posts 260-262 near Keizer.

The suspect ran four separate vehicles off the road before crashing into a tree. The male suspect was driving northbound on Interstate 5 in a white 2018 Chevy Silverado pickup bearing CA Lic# 65811L2 (see photo).

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - winter weather advisory A winter weather advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. this evening through noon on Wednesday for the central Willamette Valley.

Snow is expected with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. However, some spots closer to the Coast Range and towards the Cascades Foothills may see 2 to 4 inches. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Plan on slippery road conditions.
