Heroin Suspect Wanted in Polk County

Samantha Gaines remains at large, has felony warrants for her arrest and is believed to be armed.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - The Polk Interagency Narcotics Team (P.O.I.N.T) began an investigation in March 2017, involving the trafficking of Heroin in the Polk and Marion County areas by suspects Samantha Gaines, Levi McCleskey and others.

McCleskey was taken into custody on April 21. At the time, he was found to be in possession of 22.5 grams of heroin, danabol steroids, and a significant amount of cash and gold.

Russian Woman Identified as Murder Victim

Police say the investigation of the murder has been difficult.

(BENTON COUNTY, Ore.) - Benton County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the victim in the murder investigation that resulted in the arrest of William Chase Hargrove.

On Monday, April 17, at 5:00 pm the Benton County Sheriff's Office responded to a suspicious death in a remote location outside the community of Alsea, Oregon. A deceased unidentified white female, believed to be in her twenties, had been located in a remote forested area.

Highway 58 Crash Claims Life of Salem Man

The names of all involved will not be released at this time.

(KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.) - There was a fatal motor vehicle crash near milepost 67 on Hwy 58, this morning about 7:15, according to Oregon State Police. The accident scene is about 5 miles west of Crescent Lake in Klamath County.

The preliminary investigation determined that a 2004 Subaru was westbound on Hwy 58 when it lost control on the icy roadway. The Subaru then slid into the eastbound lane where it struck a 2010 Nissan SUV.

OSP Investigating Double Fatality Crash Hwy 18 near McMinnville

The two-vehicle double fatality crash closed Hwy 18 for 6 hours.

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Saturday afternoon at about 3:20, Oregon State Police responded to the report of a two vehicle head-on motor vehicle crash on Hwy 18 near milepost 49. This location is just east of McMinnville in Yamhill County.

Upon arrival, OSP determined a silver 2016 Dodge Caravan operated by 59-year old William Eugene Stockinger and his passenger 65-year old Linda Louise Stockinger from Tualatin had been westbound on Hwy 18 when it crossed into the eastbound lane.

Public Input Needed in Fatal Hit and Run Motorcycle Crash

One person is in custody, and OSP is still seeking to speak with three other persons of interest.

(SHERIDAN, Ore.) - The victim has been identified as 43-year old James Rudolph Osredkar from Sheridan.

A person of interest was identified as 22-year old Michala Ann Brown. On the evening of April 15th, Michala Brown was located and is cooperating with the investigation.

Four Die in Harrisburg Plane Crash

All souls aboard perished.

(HARRISBURG, Ore.) - Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports that deputies responded to an airplane that crashed in a field on Peoria Road about one mile outside the City of Harrisburg at 11:02 a.m.

It has been confirmed that there are four occupants of the plane, and that all four have died in the crash.

The pedestrian ran into high speed, freeway traffic

(CENTRAL POINT, Ore.) - A 2017 Freightliner towing a box trailer, operated by 52-year old Steve Pemberton, of Red Bluff, California, was traveling southbound on Interstate 5, in the right lane, when he observed a person run onto the highway.

The truck driver was unable to avoid colliding with the pedestrian.

14-Year Old Girl Killed By Rolling Log at Oregon Coast

With great will, witnesses were able to remove her from under the log.

(BANDON, Ore.) - Last Saturday, about 4:00 p.m., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to South Jetty Park Beach in Bandon, where a log had rolled on top of a 14-year old girl. Upon emergency crews arriving on scene, they discovered the girl that had sustained life threatening injuries.

Preliminary information indicates that a 14-year-old Aurora Genai Sheffel from Eugene was playing on a log, in the heavy receding tide, when the log rolled on top of her.
