Oregon`s Updated Fire Report and Fire Map

About 1 million acres have burned in Oregon since the start of this year.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Oregon Department of Forestry is closely monitoring 9 major fires in Oregon, down from 17 originally.

Fires are removed from the list when they are 100% lined and fire managers are confident in their progress toward containment.

Limited Area in South Salem: BOIL WATER NOTICE

This notice applies to a limited portion of South Salem only. Not all City of Salem water customers need to boil water.

(SALEM, Ore.) - At approximately 4:30 p.m., September 23, 2020, a 12-inch cast iron main ruptured causing water pressure to be interrupted to approximately 1,000 homes in the South Salem area in the City of Salem (see affected area in map below).

No other areas of the water system were affected by the pressure interruption.

3 More Oregonians Succumb to COVID-19

Today, OHA reported 328 new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases, and 3 deaths

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 has claimed three more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 532, as well as 328 new confirmed and presumptive cases as of 12:01 a.m. today bringing the state total to 31,313.

Oregon’s 532nd COVID-19 death is a 64-year-old woman in Malheur County who tested positive on Sept. 1 and died on Sept. 20, at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. She did not have underlying conditions.

Portland Man and Three Teens Arrested After Multiple Marijuana Dispensaries Burglarized

A substantial amount of evidence from the burglaries was discovered in the vehicle.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Early this morning, North Precinct officers were dispatched to multiple alarm calls at marijuana dispensaries within a short period of time.

Four individuals were detained for questioning and a substantial amount of evidence from the North burglaries was discovered in the vehicle. Three of the suspects are teenagers.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Today, Multnomah County DA Mike Schmidt announced that 31-year-old Jonathan Creswell is being charged with one count of murder in the second degree constituting domestic violence and one count of unlawful use of a weapon constituting domestic violence.

It is alleged that Creswell used a knife to intentionally cause the death of the victim.

Lincoln City Man Accidentally Shoots Himself at the Grocery Store

Ellingford did not have a concealed handgun license

(SALEM, Ore.) - The investigation revealed that Ellingford was inside the store and as he was waiting in line, he un-holstered a Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol from his waist band so that he could show it off to a friend.

As Ellingford was placing the firearm back in the front of his pants, he accidentally pulled the trigger. He was flown via Life Flight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital

Trump, the Climate Arsonist
