Aurora Man in Custody after Hit and Run Crash with School Bus

There were 20 children on the bus at the time of the crash.

(DONALD, Ore.) - According to Deputies, the preliminary investigation revealed that the Peterbuilt truck operated by 49-year old Timothy Brown, of Sheridan, was traveling west on Ehlen Rd NE. As Brown approached the intersection with Butteville Rd NE, a black SUV driving eastbound made a left hand turn in front of him.

Brown hit the SUV at approximately 55 mph causing it to spin and crash into the left front portion of the school bus that was sitting at the stop sign, waiting to turn.

One Man Killed in Crash Near Mill City

The operator and only occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - Linn County deputies are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Kingwood Avenue near Dogwood Road just east of Mill City, on October 6th just before 8 p.m.

Sheriff Jim Yon reports that the operator was identified as 28-year old Wesley Wilson, of Gates. He was operating a black 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse and was eastbound on Kingwood Avenue when he failed to negotiate a corner. The vehicle struck the bridge abutment crossing Rock Creek.

Deputies Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The motorcyclist died on scene.

(INDEPENDENCE, Ore.) - Today, July 17th, at 2:22 p.m., deputies with the Marion county Sheriff’s Office were called to a two vehicle crash that occurred in the 7400 block of River Road South near the Independence Bridge.

Deputies believe a west bound motorcycle was negotiating a corner when the rider crossed the center line and struck a west bound pickup truck.

Bend Firefighter Killed in Motorcycle Crash with Bear

Tragedy is a reminder of unforeseen risks on the road.

(WARM SPRINGS, Ore.) - 39-year old Rhett Larsen, an off-duty firefighter from Bend, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound when a large bear ran into his path on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. He was unable to avoid the bear and struck the animal in the eastbound lane.

Larsen was thrown from his motorcycle and then was struck by a westbound Ford SUV pulling a utility trailer driven by 57-year old Margaret Sweo, from Oregon City. Sweo's vehicle traveled off the roadway and rolled onto its side.

Head-on Fatal Crash with Pacific Power Truck on Hwy 199

This crash is still under investigation.

(GRANTS PASS, Ore.) - Today at approximately 8:48 AM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on US Hwy 199 near milepost 5, just south of Grants Pass in Josephine County.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Ford F150 was travelling north on US Hwy 199 when, for unknown reasons, it veered into oncoming lanes and crashed into a southbound Pacific Power utility truck head-on.

One Dead, Two Injured in Crash Near Molalla

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Witnesses called 911 Monday at 12:49 p.m., directing authorities to the 12000 block of S Dart Rd. in unincorporated Molalla, where a vehicle had left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a rest.

Dispatchers were told that the three occupants of the vehicle all appeared to be seriously injured.

Quadruple Fatal Crash Interstate 5 near Rice Hill

Witnesses are being sought that saw the red Acura driving the wrong way on the freeway.

(DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore.) - A red Acura Integra was southbound on Interstate 5 when for unknown reasons turned around and went northbound in the southbound lanes, colliding nearly head-on with a southbound Nissan Murano.

The two vehicles became engulfed in fire after the collision. Drivers of both vehicles died from injuries sustained in the crash and two passengers that were removed from the Nissan Murano also succumbed to their injuries.

(JACKSON COUNTY, Ore.) - Saturday night about 8:30, Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on Highway 234 near Eagle Point in Jackson County.

According to police, a black Harley Davidson was traveling eastbound with a passenger when a silver Ford Mustang collided nearly head-on with the motorcycle.

Pickup vs Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Washington Woman

A tragic reminder that driving under the influence is a volatile choice.

(SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho) - It was about 10:50 p.m. when 25-year old Jonathan A. Smith was traveling south on Idaho state Highway 41 in a 1992 Dodge Dakota, while 49-year old Mark Kondash was driving northbound, riding a 2002 Harley Davidson.

According to the preliminary investigation, Smith attempted to enter a side road and turned directly into the path of the motorcycle.

Oregonian Newspaper Delivery Driver Killed in Weather Accident

An unfortunate accident befell a local Astoria woman.

(ASTORIA, Ore.) - On arrival it was determined that a delivery driver for the Oregonian newspaper, 50-year old Debra Kay Burnett, of Astoria, had attempted to climb a hilly section of 12th Street near Kensington with her delivery vehicle. She was on her regular route.

Due to the road being covered in snow and ice, the vehicle was not able to make it to the top of the street and began to slide backwards down the hill.
