Second Person Arrested in Connection With Fatal Crash in Albany

(ALBANY) - A second person that investigators say was involved in a double fatal rear-end car crash early Saturday morning, has been located by Albany police.

Detectives say they responded to a suspicious circumstances call at 12:56 AM, where they located 24-year old Tonya Anne Jones and 22-year old Brandon Michael Schmunk, both Albany residents. Tonya Jones was a person of interest in the fatal crash, and Brandon Schmunk agreed to come to the Albany Police Department and speak with detectives.

Police Arrest Woman on Manslaughter Charges

(ALBANY) - Jodie Faye Jones Albany Police Detectives arrested a woman Monday afternoon that they had been seeking in connection with a double-fatal crash over the weekend. The crash, a rear-end collision, killed two 20-year old Linn County men in a Honda who were waiting at a red light.

The woman police were seeking, Jodie Faye Jones, was taken into custody at 1:30 PM Monday at the Albany Police Department. Jones was driven to the Albany Police Department by family members where she turned herself in.

Search Warrants Yield Drugs and Arrests in Albany

(ALBANY) - Linn County Sheriff's deputies say they seized dealer quantities of suspected methamphetamine, guns, cash, and drug paraphernalia during a raid on an Albany home Thursday.

Sheriff Tim Mueller says the Linn Drug Task Force assisted by a US Forest Service K-9 drug Dog served the search warrant at 1487 15th Ave. #B SE Albany.

Deputies arrested 28-year old Pablo Garcia-Lopez of Albany on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, (Meth) Possession of Controlled Substance, (Meth) Unlawful Possession of Fictitious Identification, and there are additional charges, his pending Bail $22,000

Narcotics Search Warrant Served in Albany

(ALBANY) - Linn County Jail Detectives in Linn County say they seized approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine, ½ ounce of marijuana, cocaine and $1,100 in cash from an Albany home Friday. The Linn Drug Task Force, assisted by a U.S. Forest Service Officer with a K-9 drug dog, executed the search warrant at 1515 SE Lafayette Street in Albany.

Arrested at the scene where the search warrant was served was 51-year old Michael Blevins, 35-year Laurie Pryor and 22-year old Rachel Holzem. All of the subjects were arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine)

Police Chase Ensues After Woman Flees Courthouse

After reaching speeds of 60 m-p-h, the chase came to an end when the driver lost control and crashed the vehicle into a garage

(Albany) - Tiffany Beyer Linn County Sheriff`s Deputies and Albany Police Officers pursued two female subjects after one escaped from the Linn County Courthouse Monday, after having her release agreement revoked by the court.

Sheriff Tim Mueller says Beyer had appeared in Linn County Circuit Court for a pre-trial hearing for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Beyer had been out of custody up to that time when the judged revoked her release agreement and set a bail amount on her.
