(ALBANY) - Albany Police Detectives arrested a woman Monday afternoon that they had been seeking in connection with a double-fatal crash over the weekend. The crash, a rear-end collision, killed two 20-year old Linn County men in a Honda who were waiting at a red light.

The woman police were seeking, Jodie Faye Jones, was taken into custody at 1:30 PM Monday at the Albany Police Department. Jones was driven to the Albany Police Department by family members where she turned herself in.

Police believe she was operating one of two vehicles that were racing on the Santiam Highway prior to the high-speed rear end collision.

Jodie Faye Jones was lodged in the Linn County Jail on 2 counts of Manslaughter in the First Degree, Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver to Injured Persons, Reckless Driving, DUII, and 2 counts of Assault in the Third Degree.
