Albany Man Dies In Accident Near Halsey

(Albany) - An Albany man was killed last weekend when his vehicle left the roadway and landed upside down in about three feet of water where he drowned, pinned inside his vehicle.

Second Suspect Arrested in Connection to Oregon Murder of Melissa Bauer

Melissa Bauer`s body was discovered on the morning of December 20th at Larwood Park, east of Scio.

(Albany) - 35-year old Tonya Lynn Neal-Strawn of Lebanon was arrested Friday by Linn County Sheriff`s Detectives on Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Hindering Prosecution. She is lodged in the Linn County Jail and bail is set at $306,000.

Sheriff`s Detectives believe that Neal-Strawn was present at the time of the murder and also took part in destroying evidence related to the crime.

Albany Children`s Performing Arts Series Begins Saturday

(Albany) - The first performance of the 2006 Children`s Performing Arts Series premieres this Saturday, with `The Reluctant Dragon` by the Tears of Joy Theatre at 11:00 AM at the Linn Benton Community College Forum.
