Search For Missing Swimmer at 3 Pools Ends with Recovery

Tuesday around 4 p.m., the 25-year old swimmer went missing after jumping from a cliff.

(MARION COUNTY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The drowning victim from Tuesday's tragic incident has been identified as 25-year old Kung Shing Yau, of Hong Kong, China. Mr. Yau was a student at Linn Benton Community College and had been studying abroad in the United States for the last 7 years.

The Sheriff's Office's thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Yau's family, friends and classmates.

Many Fatalities after Blast at Ariana Grande Concert

Number of fatalities has not been disclosed at this time.

(SALEM, Ore.) - incident at Manchester Arena UK Police have confirmed that there are a "Number of fatalities" in the alleged explosion today at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchaster Arena (England).

Immediately after the loud blast, a speaker came on telling everyone to evacuate. Screaming ensured. All Twitter reports describe a horrific scene of stampeding people.

Colton Man Charged with Murder of his Mother

A tragic Mother's Day for a small Oregon town.

(CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore.) - Joshua Lee Webb On Mother's Day, the Sandy Police Department received a 911 call and responded to the Estacada Harvest Market Thriftway at about 2:15 p.m. The caller said that a male covered in blood and armed with a knife, ran into the store carrying what looked like a severed human head. He was not mistaken.

Other callers stated that the subject had stabbed a store employee. He, along with other store employees, disarmed the subject, and subdued him to await the arrival of the police.

Surgeon General Murthy Not Facing Addiction in Confusing Report

A bogus report will do nothing to slow down the deaths to prescription opioid "addiction".

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) - Surgeon General's report Recently, President Trump relieved the Surgeon General of his prestigious position. Many supporters of Dr. Murthy were unhappy with Trump's decision. After all, a report had been issued entitled "Facing Addiction in America - The Surgeon General's Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health".

Considering that the Obama administration all but ignored the massive prescription opioid epidemic in the country, Murthy actually issuing a report was monumental.

Several weeks ago, President Trump announced that Marino was being slotted as "drug czar" for the administration.

Heroin Suspect Wanted in Polk County

Samantha Gaines remains at large, has felony warrants for her arrest and is believed to be armed.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Samantha Gaines The Polk Interagency Narcotics Team (P.O.I.N.T) began an investigation in March 2017, involving the trafficking of Heroin in the Polk and Marion County areas by suspects Samantha Gaines, Levi McCleskey and others.

McCleskey was taken into custody on April 21. At the time, he was found to be in possession of 22.5 grams of heroin, danabol steroids, and a significant amount of cash and gold.

Russian Woman Identified as Murder Victim

Police say the investigation of the murder has been difficult.

(BENTON COUNTY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Benton County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the victim in the murder investigation that resulted in the arrest of William Chase Hargrove.

On Monday, April 17, at 5:00 pm the Benton County Sheriff's Office responded to a suspicious death in a remote location outside the community of Alsea, Oregon. A deceased unidentified white female, believed to be in her twenties, had been located in a remote forested area.

So why would McCaskill demand action on an epidemic killing in the thousands every year when she is aware the waters are not uncharted?

Highway 58 Crash Claims Life of Salem Man

The names of all involved will not be released at this time.

(KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.) - Fatal Hwy 58 There was a fatal motor vehicle crash near milepost 67 on Hwy 58, this morning about 7:15, according to Oregon State Police. The accident scene is about 5 miles west of Crescent Lake in Klamath County.

The preliminary investigation determined that a 2004 Subaru was westbound on Hwy 58 when it lost control on the icy roadway. The Subaru then slid into the eastbound lane where it struck a 2010 Nissan SUV.
