Christopher K. Winter‏ Pleads Guilty to Murder

At the time of this murder, the deceased John David Hall and the suspect Christopher Winter were business partners, conducting business as Bulls Eye Pest Elimination; an insect exterminator service.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Christopher Winter On November 15th, 2005, John David Hall, 55 at the time, was found dead police say, as a result of homicidal violence. His body was discovered inside his residence at 8951 SE Beaver Lake Drive, in Clackamas.

Thursday at 1:30 PM, Christopher Keller Winter entered a plea of guilty to Murder and Theft One, in the Clackamas County Circuit Court, Oregon City.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Pamela K. Rowley-Butcher faces 59 counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree A woman suspected of embezzling more than one-million dollars over several years from this Estacada Rural Fire District was arrested today by Clackamas County deputies.

59-year old Pamela K. Rowley-Butcher was the Executive Financial Officer in charge of payroll for the Estacada Rural Fire District No. 69, located at 445 SE Currin Street, in Estacada.

Charred Remains in Car Probably Suicide

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is releasing this information now to help ease community concerns over this suspicious and unfortunate death.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit Supervisor has announced that the arson-torched vehicle containing human remains - found in a remote area of Estacada last week, is likely part of a suicide case.

Investigators say they have contacted the immediate family of the registered owner of the incinerated vehicle, and have learned that the suspected deceased individual had been suffering from significant health problems.

Ron Naso is Oregon`s Superintendent of the Year

Naso has been superintendent of North Clackamas Schools, which serves 17,300 students, since 1995.

The award will be presented on October 24th at the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce Leadership Luncheon.

"Ron is an effective leader, and we're very fortunate to have him in the North Clackamas District," said School Board Chair Lee Merrick. "Over the past twelve years, Ron has put in a lot of effort to improve the education of tens of thousands of students."

Oregon City Courthouse Vandalized Saturday

(OREGON CITY) - Damage to the Clackamas County Courthouse Saturday, September 29, 2007 It is a story that we have heard in Oregon before; a suspect breaks forcibly enters a courthouse on a Saturday, causes extensive vandalism, and then is arrested. Fortunately for Oregon City, an arrest at their courthouse over the weekend did not result in the amount of damage and destruction that Marion County saw two years ago.

Investigators say a 17 year-old youth was observed forcing his way into the Clackamas County Courthouse Saturday at 2:50 PM, after it was closed for business.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Rape suspect at large art The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect in a home-invasion, rape and robbery incident that occurred this morning in Eagle Creek.

The incident happened this morning inside a residence on SE Wildcat Mountain Drive in Eagle Creek, according to Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

The victim, a woman in her 60's, reported that a male subject armed with a knife broke into her home, raped her and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Alcohol, Heat and Argument Led to Stabbing, Police Say

Investigators encourage anyone with information concerning the suspect of the incident to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Jason Bills of Milwaukie A stabbing occurred on the Clackamas River near High Rocks at around 5:00 PM. "The stabbing occurred over an argument," says Sergeant Lee Eby with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. "With both parties being intoxicated."

He says the suspect fled the scene after stabbing 24-year old Jason Bills of Milwaukie.

Teens Face Serious Charges Over Explosive Device

One of the teens reportedly said he "did not intend to hurt anyone," was not a "'bomb' person," and was only "experimenting."
