Woman Arrested in Estacada Fire Embezzlement Case

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - A woman suspected of embezzling more than one-million dollars over several years from this Estacada Rural Fire District was arrested today by Clackamas County deputies.

59-year old Pamela K. Rowley-Butcher was the Executive Financial Officer in charge of payroll for the Estacada Rural Fire District No. 69, located at 445 SE Currin Street, in Estacada.

Pamela Kay Rowley-Butcher has been transported and lodged into the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Jail. She was arrested at noon time today at 408 NE Pierce Street, in Estacada.

Pamela K. Rowley-Butcher is lodged in the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Jail, with 59 counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, with bail set at $1,475,000.

Arraignment on this matter is scheduled for Wednesday, October, 10th at 3:00 PM in the Clackamas County Circuit Court, Oregon City.

This woman is a con-artist! She took the community for a ride for a long time... Too long if you ask me, but we ARE talking about Estacada right? There you have it. Come on guys, WAKE UP!

Small wonder that this fire dept were asking others to donate money over the years, only to find they're *still* underfunded! Nice job, Pamela! You undermine the trust in and from that fire dept that'll take months to rebuild. SHAME ON YOU, PAMELA!

What kind of person steals from a fire department? And how was it allowed to go on for so long? This woman has set herself up to be remembered in her community for quite some time. Ah well...
