At some point while the suspect was driving, the victim managed to escape the moving vehicle. She sustained additional injuries during the escape.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating an aggressive kidnapping case that occurred in unincorporated Milwaukie on Monday, Jan. 27. The victim is safe in an area hospital.

The area was very rocky, and Sampson was trapped in the rocks, unable to get out on its own. It appears the dog had been trapped down there for several days.
Earlier today, Damascus Police Officer Jerry Rippe rescued a trapped dog named Sampson -- a 5-year-old lab mix -- near Carver.

The victim of the stabbing, 33-year old Matthew Savage of Beavercreek, Oregon, was known by the suspect. He was taken by LifeFlight to an area hospital.
