PTSD Psychosis: the Army and VA's Miserable Mistreatment: Time Magazine Expose

It is known that the Army and VA treatment with anti-depressant drugs and morphine-like drugs can be both dangerous and lethal but they continue to hand them out.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) -  It is very comforting and reassuring that Time Magazine has finally joined the ongoing battle to recognize and to take care of the epidemic of possibly 1,000,000 PTSD Victim Veterans.

This has been a problem with all wars and the stay-at-homes and stay-aways from battle have no concept of the mind and soul damage of the kill or be killed mind set which is pounded into the brains of battle combatants. Others CANNOT understand it nor empathize about it. After being in combat, watching others breakdown, being a PTSD victim myself and taking medical care of PTSD victims I think I have earned my stripes to write about it.

You may wince at the title PTSD PSYCHOSIS – don’t, PTSD is on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being minimal and 10 totally wasted, murderous or suicidal and we have too many of them. Victims are driven there by the PTSD devils in their brains.

If you don’t know how PTSD comes about it is because the brain is a memory machine. It stores good stuff and bad stuff. The bad stuff really gets to us and causes PTSD.

The title PTSD PSYCHOSIS has a double meaning – psychosis in the Army and VA. For whatever reason or dysfunction they in general do not recognize, diagnose or seem to be capable of effectively treating PTSD victims.

Today is 9 o’clock, Thursday, August 19, 2010. One batch of 350 soldiers

has just arrived home from Iraq. As a Combat Vet I can really empathize

with those guys and gals. I hope everybody will forgive me for weeping.

As one wife of a returning vet said “as soon as I get out of this building

I’m going to sit down and bawl.” I’m with her.

Now for Time Magazine: Their article portrays in spades the gross attitude of superiors berating and belittling underlings when they are truly “wasted” by seeing bodies blown into pieces before their eyes and accusing them of being “girlish” in the most crude way and even a homosexual for having these empathetic feelings.

Even Three Star Lt. General Eric Schoomaker, the Surgeon General overseeing this aspect concedes he doesn’t have the doctors and therapists required. there is at least a 20% shortage of qualified personnel and hirings are frozen!!

“The Army has been criminally negligent,” says Capt. Peter Linnerooth, a Psychologist and staff burnout is too common. One staffer says “mental health care can be as dangerous as the enemy”.

It is known that the Army and VA treatment with anti-depressant drugs and morphine-like drugs can be both dangerous and lethal but they continue to hand them out. This has caused accidental death and suicides among the troops to epidemic proportions and further causing alcoholism, tobacco addiction ultimately causing death.

If you want a real psychological shock, read the Time Magazine article August 16, 2010. It is longer and far grimmer than my synopsis.
