One More Oregonian Dies from COVID-19

There are 47 new COVID-19 cases in Oregon, totaling 736.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Salem-News.com COVID-19 has claimed one more life in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 19, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 8 a.m. today.

Oregon’s nineteenth COVID-19 death is a 70-year old woman from Multnomah County who tested positive on March 27, 2020.

Two More Oregonians Die from COVID-19

10 new cases also confirmed statewide, bringing total to 75

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 COVID-19 has claimed two more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll from this virus to three, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 8:30 a.m. today.

The cases are a 60-year-old woman in Lane County, who died on March 14, and a 71-year-old man in Washington County who died March 17.

Salem Police Investigate Fatal Hit and Run Crash on McGilchrist SE

Late Tuesday at 11:30 pm a man walking his bicycle was hit and killed by a vehicle, which did not stop.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Fatal hit and run It appears the male had been walking his bike along the shoulder of McGilchrist, near 22nd St SE, prior to being struck by a vehicle, which left the scene without stopping.

Investigators had McGilchrist shut down for several hours while they investigated the fatal crash.
