Deputies Investigate Construction Flagger Struck and Killed by Dump Truck

This tragedy is a reminder to drive with extreme caution in and around construction zones.

(HAPPY VALLEY, Ore.) - Initial reports indicate that crews with Northwest Natural Gas had been on scene of a natural gas leak in the area, and had SE 132nd Ave completely closed to traffic.

A dump truck experienced mechanical problems, and was attempting to remove his truck from the construction area, he struck and killed the 71-year old flagger.

Dallas Man Killed in Hwy 26 Crash that Caused Grassfire

A motorist was first on scene, and was able to extricate the children and female passenger.

(MADRAS, Ore.) - Wednesday, just prior to 5 p.m. Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 26 near milepost 11, between Madras and Prineville.

The initial investigation revealed a single motor vehicle was traveling westbound and for unknown reasons, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree on the south ditch easement.

Four Die in Harrisburg Plane Crash

All souls aboard perished.

(HARRISBURG, Ore.) - Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports that deputies responded to an airplane that crashed in a field on Peoria Road about one mile outside the City of Harrisburg at 11:02 a.m.

It has been confirmed that there are four occupants of the plane, and that all four have died in the crash.

Car vs Light Pole Sends One to Hospital

Tangent Fire Department quickly responded to the call

(TANGENT, Ore.) - A single car accident on Hwy 34 in Tangent sent one to the hospital last night about 10:05 p.m. Tangent Fire Dept and OSP responded to the call of a car crashed into a light pole.

There was only one occupant, the driver, and that person was taken to the hospital by Albany Paramedics.

Plane Crashes Onto Shop in Lebanon

The pilot and passenger were both conscious and talking with rescuers.

(LEBANON, Ore.) - A small airplane crashed onto a shop building with two aboard, Friday. At 12:31 p.m., the Lebanon Fire District was dispatched to 36144 Bohlken Dr for an aircraft crash.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a 2-seat light plane (a Van's RV-6A) had crashed on top of a shop building. Both occupants of the plane were still inside the aircraft.

Missing Airplane Found Crashed on Mt Tom in Linn County

The crash site is in heavily wooded, rough terrain.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - Since learning of a missing airplane from the Creswell Airport on Wednesday, Search and Rescue members have been searching the Mt. Tom area due to the planes last known radar contact.

Today, at about 1 p.m. a helicopter from the Oregon Army National Guard spotted a crashed plane. Upon relaying their coordinates to Linn County Search and Rescue ground support, SAR members found the airplane. One deceased body was found in the wreckage.

Fatal Traffic Crash on HWY 99W near McDougal Junction

ODOT established a detour around the crash scene on the heavily traveled highway.

(DAYTON, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into this morning's fatal crash on highway 99W near milepost 30, just south of McDougal Junction in Yamhill County.

A Tan Ford SUV was traveling northbound on highway 99W when for undetermined reasons the vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lane.

Harrison Ford Battered, but OK After Plane Crash

His classic aircraft had engine failure and he crashed on a golf course.

(VENICE, Calif.) - Harrison Ford, American iconic actor, crashed his plane on a golf course near the Santa Monica airport this afternoon.

He radioed the tower and told them his engine had failed and he was headed back in immediately. They told him to land on one strip, too far for him to make and he said he'd have to take another. He didn't make it that far.

Car Crashes into Hagan Hamilton Building

(McMinnville, Ore.) - A car crashed into the Hagan Hamilton Insurance building in McMinnville on Monday night.

During the investigation it was determined that the vehicle drove through the concrete barriers that were installed to protect the building, at a high rate of speed, after the driver was unable to negotiate a bend in the road.

Fatal Head-On Crash on HWY 22W near MP 6.5 in Polk County

This stretch of highway can be very dangerous, even for the most experienced driver.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into this afternoon's head-on crash on highway 22W at milepost 6.5 - near Red Prairie Road in Polk County.

Preliminary information indicates shortly before 4:30 p.m., a green, 1995 Plymouth Neon, was westbound on highway 22W near Red Prairie Road overtaking another vehicle in the oncoming lane. The Neon collided head-on with an eastbound, Gray, 2004 Chevrolet Venture.
