(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his Search and Rescue Team along with air assets from the Oregon Army National Guard have located a crashed airplane on Mt. Tom.

The crash site is located on BLM property that is heavily wooded with rough terrain. Mt. Tom is located in southern Linn County just east of Harrisburg approximately nine miles.

Since learning of a missing airplane from the Creswell Airport on Wednesday, Search and Rescue members have been searching the Mt. Tom area due to the planes last known radar contact.
