National Artist Completes Series of 100 Paintings Depicting Historic Homes in Portland

Portraits pay tribute to the cultural architectural legacy of Portland by artistically documenting the “grandeur of these homes.”

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - painting Historic Portland homes are the subject of a series of original paintings by national architectural artist Leisa Collins.

The house portrait series by Collins spans seventeen of her favorite neighborhoods, including Alameda, Beaumont-Wilshire, Concordia, Grant Park, Irvington, Laurelhurst, Sabin, Sellwood-Mooreland, Eastmoreland and Westmoreland.

Oregon Reports Two More COVID-19 Deaths and 64 New Cases

Oregon’s 103rd COVID-19 death is a 77-year-old man from Marion County

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 COVID-19 has claimed two more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 103, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 8 a.m. today.

Oregon Health Authority also reported 64 new cases of COVID-19 today bringing the state total to 2,510 cases.

Salem Man Arrested After Crashing Vehicle While Trying To Elude Officers

He reached speeds in excess of 90 mile-per-hour going north out of the city.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - Lincoln City crash As the officers attempted to contact the male, identified as Brandon Franklin Pruett, he sped away. The Officers witnessed Pruett commit several traffic violations and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.

According to Police, Pruett turned north from SE 32nd St onto Hwy 101 and accelerated as he fled north-bound in an attempt to elude the officers.

Washington Man Killed in Hwy 18 Crash

The crash happened about 2:47 a.m. on Hwy 18 near milepost 15.

(POLK COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash oregon Police say that a Dodge Caravan, believed to be early 2000's (possibly 2004) was westbound on Hwy 18 when it left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire.

The operator, 24-year old Anthony Maestas of Vancouver, Washington, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OLCC Will Temporarily Accept Expired State of Oregon Issued ID

This temporary exception only applies to driver licenses and ID cards issued by the State of Oregon.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - cannabis dispensary The OLCC will allow alcohol and marijuana licensees to accept expired Oregon driver licenses or ID cards that expired, on or after March 8, 2020, as an acceptable form of identification.

This decision aligns with the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles and law enforcement position, as DMV offices are closed because of the COVID-19 public health crisis preventing individuals from renewing their driver’s license or ID cards.
