UPDATE: Officer-Involved Shooting Under Investigation in SW Portland

The man shot by police is expected to survive.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Police Shooting Portland Police were involved in a shooting Monday evening in the 3500 block of Southwest Dakota Street.

Police say a 911 caller stated that her son was outside the house breaking windows, throwing things at the house and that he was armed with a machete and pacing in front of the residence.

(GAZA / SALEM) - Ken O'Keefe stands between two Vittorio Arrigoni and Cormac O'Daly. Members of the Gaza Road to Hope Convoy were shot at by Israeli soldiers while partaking in activities on the International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine.

Ken O'Keefe of Aloha Palestine, is a Salem-News.com writer known for his defender role on the ship Mave Marmara last May, which was attacked by Israeli soldiers while operating in international waters.

Portland - Subject Shoots at Police; Officer-Involved Shooting Occurs

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Shooting investigation logo Today at 12:40 a.m., East Precinct Officers responded to a call in the 11000 Block of SE 106th and Cherry Blossom Avenue regarding a family disturbance. The caller stated that he had accidentally shot his stepson.

When officers arrived, the owner of the home reported that his stepson was attacking his stepdaughter and that the stepdaughter and wife were still in the house. The man also reported that he accidentally shot his stepson during the course of the argument.

Portland Officer-Involved Shooting Update

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Shooting Investigation Portland Police are continuing their investigation into last night's officer-involved shooting involving an armed, barricaded man, who was shooting at police. After the fire was brought under control, police found the subject deceased. Since notification of family is complete, the Bureau can release the identitiy of the man; he is 46-year-old Craig Boehler.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine if the house is structurely safe for police and fire personnel to enter. There is still much of the investigation to be done. The investigation is continuing.

Accidental Shooting in Clark County Residence

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Shooting investigation logo This morning at 2:52am Clark County Sheriff Deputies and Vancouver Police responded to an possible suicide/accidental shooting that had just occurred 4200 block of NE 38th Street Vancouver.

Deputies and Officers arrived to find a 25 year old male deceased in a back bedroom. The deceased had a single gun shot wound to the head. The residence was occupied by numerous adults who had been consuming alcohol at the time of the shooting.

Linn County Deputy Involved Shooting Update

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Shooting investigation logo Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller is providing updated information to Saturday night's deputy-involved shooting on Gap Road near Brownsville.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, the Linn County 911 center received a call reporting a prowler at 25288 Gap Road. A deputy responded and learned that someone may have broken into an outbuilding on the property. As the deputy was investigating the scene, a suspect vehicle attempted to run him over.

Salem Police Investigate Shooting

(Salem, Oregon) - Shooting investigation logo Today at 5:11 am Salem Police Officers responded to a report of several gunshots directed at a residence in the 2200 block of 4th St. NE. Responding officers contacted the residences and found one adult female had received a non-life threatening gunshot wound from one of the bullets that had been fired into the residence. The female was taken to Salem Hospital, where she was treated and released.

Portland Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident in SE

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Shooting investigation logo This morning at approximately 9:11 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to a residence in the 10800 Block of Southeast Henderson Drive to assist deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office on an incident where a subject fired a handgun.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with deputies who were at the residence to conduct a welfare check on behalf of the Department of Human Services. Deputies made contact inside the residence with a 42-year-old male who retrieved a handgun and pointed it at himself.

Rose Valley Man Arrested After Shooting at Swat

(KELSO, Wash.) - Shooting investigation logo A 66 year old Rose Valley man was arrested without incident after a lengthy stand-off in which the suspect fired dozens of rounds in and around his residence, and at a SWAT vehicle.

At approximately 2PM, a female called to say that her roommate,Charlie W. Dodd who lives in the 5800 block of Rose Valley Road, was intoxicated, had a gun and was shooting in the house. Deputies responded and cordoned off the rural 5th wheel residence and a few out buildings. Deputies could hear multiple shots being fired from within and around the residence and a call was made to Lower Columbia SWAT.
