Kentrox Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Communications Industry Veteran Richard Cremona to Focus on Kentrox's Continued Growth.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Kentrox has named Richard S. Cremona as the company's new Chief Executive Officer, and Charlie Vogt as Chairman of the Board. Cremona as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. He also has joined the Kentrox Board of Directors.

Cremona, a 20-year telecommunications industry veteran has held executive positions with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Sprint and, most recently, Openwave. His extensive professional background includes leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Technical Support, Operations, Human Resources and International Business Development.

As a result, MathStar no longer meets the requirements for continued listing on The NASDAQ Global Market and has 180 calendar days, or until July 2nd 2008, to regain compliance. During this 180-day period, MathStar's shares will continue to trade on The NASDAQ Global Market.

Sex Abuse Suspect Arrested for Rape Involving 15-Year Old Girl

Police say the man had sex with a teenage girl from California that he met on the Internet.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Oregon rape suspect: 35-year old Robert Earl Hogan A Hillsboro man has been arrested for third-degree Rape by the Washington County Parole and Probation Department. They say 35-year old Robert Earl Hogan was also taken into custody over a a parole violation detainer.

Michael Rouches with Hillsboro Police, says officers were called to 162 SE Oak Street in Hillsboro last night at approximately 8:00 PM to assist Washington County Parole and Probation officers in checking on Hogan and the possibility of his relationship with a 15-year old female.

15-Year Old Oregon Boy Dies in Fatal Shooting

It happened in a wooded area off of Highway 47 and north of Highway 26.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - The Washington County Major Crimes Team and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Unit are currently on the scene of a fatal shooting in western Washington County.

At this time investigators are reporting that a 15-year-old boy from Beaverton has been killed in what appears to be an accidental shooting.

Deputy and Dad Save 15-Month Old Child in Oregon

The child was discovered with her face wedged between the bed and the wall which led to suffocation.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Doernbecher Children's Hospital Deputies and medical personnel responded to a report of a 15-month-old girl that had been discovered not breathing by her parents.

Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says the child had been sleeping on a "day bed" and it appeared that she suffocated when her head became wedged between the mattress and the wall. The child was revived and she was released from the hospital two days later.

U.S. Army Soldier from Hillsboro, Oregon Killed in Afghanistan

He leaves behind a wife and an 8-year-old daughter.

Army Sgt. First Class Christopher Dale Henderson died Sunday in Panjway, Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

He was 35.

Hillsboro Police Shoot Gunman that Threatened Firefighters

All the area schools have been taken out of lockdown and children should be on their way home.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - police shooting update A man who firefighters say threatened them with a gun, was shot to death by Hillsboro Police officers Wednesday afternoon. The incident resulted in several schools being placed in lockdown.

Hillsboro Police Officers responded to an area near SE Century and SE Lois St. to assist the Hillsboro Fire Department at 2:10 PM. Fire crews said they were being threatened by a man with a gun.
