(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - A Hillsboro man is the 100th casualty with ties to Oregon in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Army Sgt. First Class Christopher Dale Henderson died Sunday in Panjway, Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was 35. Henderson was assigned to the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division (Transition Team), Fort Riley, Kan. He leaves behind a wife and an 8-year-old daughter.
