(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - In his June 13, 2017 testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Attorney General Jeff Sessions repeatedly denied suggestions that he had improper contact with Russian authorities or hurt this country, which he claimed to have served with honor for 35 years.

That he has served this country with "honor for 35 years" is laughable.

A judge sentenced Joshua Vallum to 49 years in federal prison under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. The prison term is in addition to the life sentence he received in 2015.

Immigrant Detainees End Hunger Strike with Victory in Oregon

(The Dalles, Ore.) - Immigrants detained at the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Facility have broken their 6-day hunger strike after NORCOR administrator Bryan Brandenburg committed to the hunger strikers to provide microwaves to heat their meals, radios and access to programs that inmates are offered.

“Why does it have to come to this? We’ve been asking for these things for five months. Why did we have to do a hunger strike?” asked one of the hunger strikers yesterday.

FBI & Eugene Police Make Arrest in Child Pornography Investigation

Nationally, there has been a 2500% increase in arrests for offenses against children in the past 10 years.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - A 39-year old Eugene man was arrested for child pornography crimes this morning about 7:15 by FBI agents and Eugene Police.

Barret Russell Spangler was arrested without incident at his home in Eugene. A federal criminal complaint charges Spangler with one count of possession and receipt of child pornography.

(The Dalles, Ore.) - At least 3 immigrants detained at the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Facility (NORCOR), a rural jail in The Dalles, OR, are are in their 6th day of hunger strike to demand humane conditions.

Meanwhile, over 750 detainees have participated in in a hunger strike at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, WA since April 10th.

Keizer Man Convicted of Child Sexual Assault and Marital Rape

All of the counts are subject to Ballot Measure 11 presumptive sentences.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Today, a Marion County jury convicted 53-year old Nikolay Avdeyev on multiple charges of rape, sexual abuse, and unlawful sexual penetration.

Specifically, defendant was convicted of three counts of rape in the first degree, three counts of rape in the second degree, one count of unlawful sexual penetration in the first degree, and eleven counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.

Otis Man Arrested After Shooting Shotgun Threatening Woman

A woman looking for a friend's house is stopped by a man armed with a shotgun, agitated she was using the roadway and would not let her pass.

(OTIS, Ore.) - Police say a woman was looking for a friend's address in the area and encountered a vehicle parked in the roadway. She stepped out of her vehicle when she was contacted by 68-year old Richard Slebioda, of Otis.

The man was armed with a shotgun and was agitated about her wanting to use the roadway and would not let her pass. He discharged a shotgun into the ground near her, resulting in debris from the ground hitting her. He followed her to her vehicle, where Slebioda menaced the woman with a handgun. She left the area on foot.

Police Investigate Student Stabbing at North Salem HS

Following the stabbing, the school was in "Lock Down" Thursday afternoon

(SALEM, Ore.) - At about 12:07 pm, a Salem Police School Resource Officer who is assigned at North Salem High School was returning to the school when he came upon an injured male juvenile.

The investigation determined that the victim, who is a North Salem High School student, was stabbed by another juvenile male, who is also a student at North Salem High School.

Woman Arrested for Stabbing Two People in Downtown Portland

Chetnik was associated with the two victims.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Officers arrived in the area and located two people, a male and a female, suffering from knife wounds. Both were transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located Chetnik in the area, and a fourth person involved in the altercation.
