Oregon State's Baseball Recruiting Class Ranked No. 3

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Pat CaseyThe incoming recruiting class for the Oregon State baseball team has been ranked as the third-best nationally by the Collegiate Baseball, the publication announced Wednesday.

The Beavers are the highest ranked Pacific-10 Conference club, and trail only No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Florida State nationally. Notre Dame is fourth followed by No. 5 UCLA.

Trail Blazers Announce 2007-08 Broadcast Schedule

The Trail Blazers have bolstered their TV broadcast team with the additions of Rebecca Haarlow as sideline reporter, Tony Luftman as studio host and Michael Holton as studio analyst.

Linfield Cruises in Non-Conference Win

(McMINNVILLE, Ore. ) - Emily VuylstekeIn a non-conference match Tuesday night at Ted Wilson Gymnasium, Linfield handled visiting Cascade of the Cascade Collegiate Conference in three games, winning 30-19, 30-9, 30-23.

Linfield (8-5, 3-1 NWC) used a 9-2 run midway though the first game to seal up the win in the opening frame.

Cascade played the Wildcats close in the early going, cutting the deficit to 11-10 before Linfield mounted its run with the score 15-13.

Anheuser-Busch said in December that it would end its 25-year title sponsorship of Nascar's Busch Series after the 2007 season.
