PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Trail Blazers announced today the team will televise a franchise-record 76 regular season games in addition to one preseason game for the 2007-08 season.

Of the team’s 82 regular season games, 53 will air on Comcast SportsNet (CSN) and 23 can be seen on KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8.

The Oct. 24 preseason game vs. Seattle will also air on KGW, giving fans a rare preview of the upcoming season.

The team’s remaining six games not covered by CSN or KGW will air nationally on TNT.

Additionally, six games are scheduled to be televised on ESPN and seven on NBA TV. Those 13 appearances will be locally aired simultaneously by either CSN or KGW.

The 24 games on KGW will be broadcast throughout the state on the Trail Blazers Television Network in Eugene, Bend and Medford.

The Trail Blazers continue to expand the number of games shown in High-Definition, with 34 dates now being broadcast in HDTV. That number is up from 10 last season, the first year of Trail Blazers basketball in HD.

Mike Barrett, with nine seasons of experience as a member of the Trail Blazers broadcast team and author of the popular “Barrett’s Blog” on trailblazers.com, will mark his fifth season as television play-by-play announcer, while Mike Rice enters his third season as television commentator and 18th overall as a Trail Blazers broadcaster.

The Trail Blazers have bolstered their TV broadcast team with the additions of Rebecca Haarlow as sideline reporter, Tony Luftman as studio host and Michael Holton as studio analyst.

Luftman and Holton will anchor the team’s expanded pre-and postgame shows.

Haarlow, who has worked the sidelines for the Big Ten Network, the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors, joins the Trail Blazers from FSN Los Angeles.

Luftman comes to Portland from the Memphis Grizzlies, where he served as the team’s sideline reporter and pregame radio host.

Holton, a former Trail Blazer from 1986-88, and University of Portland head coach, has extensive coaching experience at the collegiate level in addition to his duties as a college basketball analyst for ESPN.

All Trail Blazers games, preseason and regular season, will again be broadcast on Newsradio 750 AM KXL and on the Trail Blazers’ statewide radio network, with Brian Wheeler calling the play-by-play for his 10th season and Antonio Harvey beginning his third season as commentator.

Jay Allen, KXL’s Sports Director, will host the radio pre-and postgame shows.
