Sep-23-2007 17:19TweetFollow @OregonNews PTSD: Veterans Administration ScandalDr. Phillip Leveque Salem-News.comPhillip Leveque has spent his life as a Combat Infantryman, Physician, Toxicologist and Pharmacologist.
(MOLALLA, Ore.) - The V.A. is beginning to sound like a Nazi Death Camp. The Nazis denied, even beyond their capitulation, that the Death Camps existed. Same as the V.A. and PTSD. Bits and snippets have come out that the V.A. is seriously mistreating or not treating PTSD battle veterans. If there’s smoke, there must be fire and it’s becoming clear that it is a conflagration like an atomic bomb. I’m not exaggerating. It is a crisis now it may be beyond the worst any of us can imagine. PTSD veterans have become the Lepers of the V.A. system. The worst thing is, there is a reasonably, effective treatment for Leprosy. “Psychologic Leprosy” must be forced into the backrooms or better yet cashiered out of the service by denying it exists and forcing the patients out of the service for specious, deceitful reasons. I don’t know if I must clarify the last statement but ask any veteran who has been in hard combat. We combat veterans were so tired we just didn’t care any more. If that is not a psychosis please straighten me out. Any battle veteran will tell you combat is crazy. “War is Hell” is often said. Any person to get into a probable death dealing situation must be (a little) crazy. Even Army psychiatric statistics indicate a combat soldier may only last about 200 days before going goofy. That is if he’s still alive. The latest perversion of the V.A. against PTSD battle veterans is to label them PRE-EXISTING PERSONALITY DISORDERS. I guess that may be correct. We are trained to KILL by any means possible. However, we were trained for that in the Army or Marines. Most of us were quiet, peaceful guys before going “crazy” and volunteering for the service and killing. I have just heard that the Army/ V.A. have discharged 22 thousand by this perverted deception. We will be faced with tens of thousands of “trigger-happy, short-fused, Army-made sociopaths”. There is no other way to describe them. In their dreams, or even resting quietly, if they think they hear the click of an AK-47 bolt or the ping of stepping on a mine, they are back facing death. We were trained that way. The V.A. admits their prescription meds don’t work. Alcohol, opiates, antidepressants and tranquilizers don’t work. There is supposed to be a V.A. study group. I’ll guess it is people who never heard a shot fired in anger. Are these folks able to empathize with a PTSD battle veteran? I doubt it. To all: VA-action --or rather widespread planned inaction-- reflects same neocon pattern applied across the board, even vs the Constitution. Takes little effort to find much solid documentation this all part of same overall plan, with same objectives, all to force further serfdom on middle class, while extended corporatism (Mussolini's definition for fascism) takes over not only U.S., but the rest of the world, too. References in depth fully available on request.

THE VA, FOR THE MOST PART HAS BECOME ONE OF THE MOST INCOMPETENT, INEFFICIENT "GAGGLE" OF BUREAUCRATS WITHIN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THIS "DEPARTMENT" FILLED WITH "AFFIRMATIVE ACTION" STAFFERS, HAS SHAMED THIS COUNTRY BY THE SLOPPY MANNER IN WHICH OUR AMERICAN HEROES ARE TREATED! SO, NICOLSON HAS "TURNED TAIL AND RAN". WHO'S NEXT, AND WHY ISN'T THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION TAKING POSITIVE ACTION TO SERVE OUR VETS. WE ASKED OUR VETS TO SERVE! NOW, LET'S "SERVE" THEM! SHAME - SHAME!

they wouldn't let them into the military in the first place if they had these "pre-existing personality disorders". The V.A. has been a trusted department in the past wnd I hope this is not the future policy.,it's too late for many already but maybe if they see it for what it sounds like it is, there will be treatment made available. I'm hoping.
