Jun-23-2010 22:37TweetFollow @OregonNews Legalization of Marijuana and Hemp Is Upon Us: Sign Oregon's Petition NowCommentary by Melissa Lewis for Salem-News.comRe-legalize hemp and marijuana now. Provide safe access to medicine and renewable, natural fiber.
(SALEM, Ore.) - With just over a week left in the race to get the re-legalization of hemp and marijuana on the ballot for November, Oregonians who want cannabis legalized must take action now. Oregonians can go to www.cannabistaxact.org right now to print the petition form. Just go to the site and click on the big red link that says “SIGN PETITION,” then print it, sign it, and send it in. You must be registered to vote, or else your signature won‘t count, so register to vote now if you aren’t currently. Residents can register to vote in Oregon by following this link: www.sos.state.or.us/elections/votreg/sel500.pdf Then print off the form, fill it out, and mail it in now, followed by your petition form. The forms must be received before July 2, 2010, so do it now, rather than later. Tell as many people as you can, or print extra copies of the petition form and hand them out to everyone you know who supports safe access to cannabis. Shame on anyone who has ever taken a toke, but is too scared to sign their name on a petition. WE ARE THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE. Re-legalize hemp and marijuana now. Provide safe access to medicine and renewable, natural fiber. Let’s make it legal to sow so much hemp. If California legalizes weed, then rest assure all in time, the whole nation would let loose of the restricting laws that prevent us from attaining and using weed for every thing use.pension or not, Oregon most likely will be on the list of such a plan.

Oregonians need to get in their petitions for both I-28 (the dispensary system) and for I-73 (legalization of hemp and marijuana)-- both are due by July 2, 2010.

This is just the beginning and it is truly a matter of time. Laws based on racism and fear will eventually be overturned once enough people realize it.

I agree totally ! Come on Oregon ! now is your chance !This is the start of a movement ! If this passes in Nov, TWO states will have legalized MJ.If I lived in Oregon, I would be passing out those petitions !
