(SACRAMENTO / BOSTON) - Former Mexican President Vicente Fox has a heck of a proposition, he wants to see medical marijuana legalized worldwide and he's starting with a chain of dispensaries in Washington state. The former political leader is serious, he's speaking out for According to the Seattle PI.
FOX News reporter John Hopperstad says in the report below, that marijuana is still illegal in Mexico, he is wrong about that part, but it is still a good report. In reality, as Salem-News.com, Time Magazine and other news agencies reported in August 2009, Mexico enacted a law to decriminalize possession of small amounts of all major narcotics, including marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and crystal meth. Also from the Seattle PI article: Fox appeared at a news conference in Seattle, where he recounted how the war on drugs has ravaged his country and praised the states of Washington and Colorado for voting to legalize the recreational use of marijuana last fall. At the news conference, former Microsoft manager Jamen Shively discussed his plans to launch a new marijuana brand named for his great-great grandfather, Diego Pellicer. He says his company is joining forces with a Washington state chain of medical marijuana dispensaries run by John Davis, the Northwest Patient Resource Center, as well as dispensaries in Colorado and California. "This historic step today is to be observed and evaluated closely by all of us, because it is a game changer," Fox said. "I applaud this group that has the courage to move ahead. They have the vision, they are clear where they're going, and I'm sure they're going to get there." Vicente, as a visionary, is taking into account the extreme popularity of marijuana and he understands that it is a powerful health aid for people who suffer from a wide variety of conditions and diseases. Mexico's current president is Enrique Peña Nieto, he is associated with the cartels and under his watch, the murder rate in Mexico has dropped. Prior to Nieto, the president of Mexico was Felipe Calderón. Under his watch, the Mexican government attempted to battle the drug cartels, murder rates soared off the charts, but he had much respect of those who wanted to clean the country up, it didn't work out. This is the president that decriminalized small amounts of drugs in Mexico. Vicente Fox served before Calderón, from 2000 to 2006. Here is our contribution to the activism for medical marijuana, it is "Cannabis, Puff Puff Puff" by Agron Belica, from the Salem-News.com "Newsic Revolution" album commissioned by Tim King, News Editor for Salem-News.com:

PTSD is going to be helped by smoking grass every time. We have over 40 years of evidence to support that.

He was a pretty rotten president, so other than potheads, who gives a rip what this clown wants/thinks.FH
Do you consider wounded American Combat Veterans who use cannabis to manage PTSD, 'potheads'? If so you should include your name, that is a strong thing to say,

I wonder if the murders slowed down, not because of Nieto, but because the Mexican citizens armed themselves. Please type in your search engine the following "mexican citizens arming themselves" read and make your own conclusion. Mexican citizens are tired of the drug cartels financed by the west, and they are tired of the police going along with it or too afraid to fight it. They are good people, taking matters into their own hands. Kudos to Vicente, but always be skeptical. Monsanto or the pharma industry may be setting us up for their "new and improved" marijuana in pill form, mixed with poisons, same as their vaccines and GMO food. I hope I am wrong, but I am not wrong about mexican citizens arming themselves. This is why the owners of the U.N. do not want anyone armed but who they want armed. I give more kudos to the Mexicans who armed themselves than I do the U.N., or Vicente. I abhor violence, but when you have the option to defend yourself, seems the bad guys leave you alone..All the Palestinians have are rocks and bottle rockets, and look at what is happening to them. israel is not only destroying them, but toying with them the same way my cat does to a field mouse when catching it. I watched my cat, it tortures the field mouse, then when the field mouse dies, it will fling it around in hopes it will keep running to give the cat something to do..reminded me of israel and Palestine. Sorry if I kinda went off topic there. :-) My hopes are this article is for good, just saying, be careful, and search engine what I mentioned.
