Reefer Madness Epidemic in Police Departments

Let's hope the epidemic subsides.

DEA raid

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - The movie Reefer Madness portraying totally false images of people going crazy from smoking marijuana/cannabis has been completely discredited and was used to make the Hearst newspapers lots of money.

It is so grotesque that it is laughable. Reefer Madness as a psychological condition still exists but is in the police organizations[1].

The weird reasoning of the DEA and other similar organizations is not clear but a form of megalomaniacal hysteria exists.

They try to prohibit the use of one of the world's most valuable plants which may be used for thousands of purposes such as fuel, clothing, animal and human food, etc, etc, etc. The fact that it also is one of the world's most important and useful medicines is lost to them in their mental disorder.

Most recently in Medford, Oregon the Chief of Police Randy Schoen possibly illegally used city money to inveigh or attack the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program which in his deluded mind is NOT about medical care with some 30,000 patients but “it’s about profit” (MONEY)[3].

Well he is partially correct. Police organizations have endeavored to make it or keep it illegal and the Mexican Mafia has moved in and the police make money chasing them.

The Los Angeles Police Commissioner called the California Medical Marijuana program “Looney Tunes”. He's talking about the largest medical patient group in the U.S. (about 300,000 patients)[2].

An Oregon Sheriff, Thomas J. Bergin in Astoria, alleges that people are “faking their symptoms so they can get high legally”.

I have news for him. Three thousand Doctors have examined these 30,000 patients and have prescribed powerful addicting narcotic drugs such as Oxycontin and Morphine and harmful anti-depressants to these patients who are now successfully being treated with cannabis/medical marijuana.

In the face of this policeman’s Reefer Madness there is an organization of policemen called LEAP – Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (of Cannabis){4}.

In addition to this, many medical, nursing and health advocacy groups say that Medical Marijuana is safe effective medicine and should be legalized.

We now have 14 states & the District of Columbia where it is legal, and most likely many more states will soon be legalizing medical marijuana.

LETS HOPE SO!!

To Josh A.: Thank your for your kind words re: my WWII service. I was a college graduate in Chemistry when I volunteered. I was 21, my buddies were 18. I was the OLD MAN. We were constantly attacking -- no foxholes OR trenches. Re: your father, it was my moral obligation and look, my license was revoked. Isn't this a strange country. Dr. Phil

I am a young man, 24. No older than you were in WW2, I'm sure. I have learned about 88's, and the fear, from your book. Nothing was more real than 'from a dogface solider in ww2'. I read it. It was slow for an 18 year old kid to read but there were parts that reminded me of trench warfare in WW1. The 88's coming through trees and the fact that you cant hear an 88' until it has already exploded was a thing that grabbed my attention. I learned about these things after my dad bought your book, and you prescribed him some medicine. You have prescribed my father with medical cannabis to relieve his symptoms, he is grateful. I am grateful also, because my grandmother died from bowel complications which I believe are attributed to prescribed opiates, constricting the bowels. Which would never had to happen if medical cannabis was on the market. Thank you, sir, for your doctoring, and your service to the USA.

It is all about the money. They have a much harder time doing their RICO robberies since OMMA and they don't like having to work for what was once easy picking.

Thanks to cannabis, my nausea is relieved from a serious digestive disease. It has also helped with PTSD. Fellow soldiers! DROP THE BOOZE! Cannabis may save your life.
