Anti-Marijuana Attorney General Dwight Holton:
More Dangerous than Any Disease

Will he jail 55,000 patients, or just high schoolers?

(MOLALLA, OR) - I became suspicious of this man when I saw that he was endorsed by 48 Oregon sheriff's and district attorney's. It is well-known that the latter group are rabidly against marijuana in any form, legal or not. This is despite the fact that Oregon voters have voted FOR medical marijuana several times. And the marijuana program is progressing well despite harassment by police, sheriffs and district attorney with arrests and convictions for mere possession of the drug for medical use.

Besides that, the main group of users are high schoolers and college age kids. Very few "real crimes" have erupted since legalization.

His approximate statement (?), "I will prosecute violations of federal and state laws to the fullest extent", brings chills running down my spine.

The 55,000 medical marijuana users in Oregon suffer from some very severe and very painful diseases relieved best by marijuana. 70% of patients use marijuana for pain. Here is a short list of those conditions:

ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)
Arthritis of many kinds,
Glaucoma,
Herpes,
HIV/AIDS,
Lupus,
Mad Cow Disease,
Migraines,
Multiple Sclerosis,
Cancer,
Leukemia,
Huntington's,
Chron's Disease,
COPD,
Epilepsy,
Fibromyalgia,
Neuropathy,
and muscle spasms.

This list isn't even all of the conditions, and patients aren't going to quit using this medicine because it works.

By Holton's belligerent tone, it sounds like he would like to put all of the 55,000 legal medical users in jail or fined to financial destitution. There are also about 400,000 users who do not have permits. These are the friends and neighbors of almost every Oregonian.

The high school kids are another problem. It may be that 20% of high schoolers use marijuana. And with regard to college students, all of these have their own supply systems, independent of the adult, legal medical group.

The police organizations are frustrated that there are so many users. Holton calls the present law a "train wreck". It sounds like he would make it even worse because marijuana is here to stay, Holton and the laws be damned.

Incarceration of marijuana users is costing the taxpayers at least $40,000 per year each. It has crowded the prisons and jails beyond rationality, leaving no room for real criminals. How does this help Oregon?

Holton's plaintive whine is that marijuana is ending up on the "black market". Okay, let's make it legal by allowing tax producing dispensaries instead of sending the money to Mexico.

HEY FOLKS, VOTE FOR ROSENBLUM!!

I am convinced that most law enforcement officers are insane and not aware of it. People who dwattle on what petty habits other peoplke engage in are weirdos. Wise people look for productive use of human fads and if the fad is smoke pot then they are about the productive use of it. Like hell, for a little bag of weed I bet we could have homeless live in shelters on abated lots and sweep the streets of the cities vs truck sweeper, just one example of potential use seeing pot seems to motivate some people so it is best to make it a reward on fair labor at the least. Cops are really bad, they raided a shop in CA here a few days back and stood on the dealers neck literally, they saw they were on camera and tried to knock out the cam and get the film but it was recorded to an off site location so they were busted, they really stink. I think it is just all their vanity of self importances with testosterone in the junk a bunch of zealous idiots like the kind that did Jesus.

This is simple...He is bought by the pay for profit prisons..Research it yourself. Prisons are being built and bought by private industries, and their only requirement for buying is that the prisons keep 90% full...This f*andking country is going to hell in a handbasket...Support Ron Paul PLEASE!!! I was a single dad, since my kids were 2 and 4, until they were mid-teens. I did everything to teach them, feed them healthy, etc. I aint gonna let some bereuacrats hurt my kids..ya pieces of Sh*t.
