Falls City Woman Killed In Highway 99W Crash

The crash is still under investigation.

(POLK COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash on Highway 99W About 6 pm, OSP troopers and emergency personnel responded to the crash at the intersection of 99W and Suver Road.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2002 Ford F250 was traveling westbound on Suver Road when it attempted to cross Highway 99W, where it was t-boned by a southbound 2010 Honda. After the impact both vehicles came to rest on the roadway.

Locations In the warning area include: Highway 31 between Paisley and Summer Lake, Highway 299 near Cedar pass. Highway 140 east of Lakeview and the higher terrain near Summer Lake and the Warner Mountains.

Black Friday Power Outage in McMinnville

Crash puts shopping on hold for dozens of McMinnville stores.

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - car crash “Black Friday” was darker than expected for shops and shoppers in McMinnville today.

The power went out after a vehicle apparently crashed into a power transformer. The non-injury accident cut off the traffic lights working between 19th Street and Winco on 99W.

(SANTIAM PASS, Ore.) - santiam pass snow A crash on the Santiam Pass was reported by Oregon State Police, whereas a pickup lost control and struck an @OregonDOT snowplow. There were no injuries, but it was a vivid announcement that Winter driving conditions are here.

If you travel in Oregon’s winters, you will encounter snowplows and sanding trucks. Be Prepared before leaving on a road trip of any length. The Oregon Dept of Transportation recommends that you take your time, and plan the trip cautiously for a successful journey.

Highway 34 Crash Takes Life of Salem Man

OSP is seeking any persons who witnessed this crash to call 503-375-3555.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - Fatal crash on hwy 34 OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a multiple vehicle crash blocking Highway 34 near milepost 2 (just east of Corvallis) about 6 a.m., today.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Subaru sedan was traveling eastbound on Highway 34 when it lost control for unknown reasons.

Salem Man Killed In Highway 99W Crash Near Amity

The driver of the Ford, a 27-year old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

(AMITY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A 1995 Ford Ranger pickup was traveling northbound and for unknown reasons, crossed the centerline and struck a 2006 Freightliner tractor towing a set of double trailers head-on.

The driver of the Freightliner attempted to move to the right shoulder to avoid the collision, however was not able to do so. Seatbelts were worn by all occupants of the vehicles.

(AccuWeather Global Weather Center) - weather changes A stormy pattern persisting into Thanksgiving will have impact on the busiest cross-country travel week of the year. More people travel farther during the week of Thanksgiving than any other week of the year.

AAA says 48.7 million Americans are projected to travel 50 miles or more from home Wednesday, Nov. 23, to Sunday, Nov. 27, which will be the greatest volume since 2007, just prior to the Great Recession.

Dallas Man Killed In Early Morning Crash On Highway 223

Fatigue is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Today at about 3:15AM, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 223 near milepost 1 (just north of Dallas).

Preliminary investigation revealed a 1999 Toyota Tacoma was traveling southbound on Highway 223 (Kings Valley Highway) when it crossed into the southbound lanes where it struck a northbound 2000 Toyota Corolla head on.

Pedestrian Hit and Killed on Hwy 22

This is the third fatal crash involving pedestrians that OSP has investigated in the past week.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A 50-year old male was crossing Highway 22 (from the south to north) when he was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz sedan traveling westbound on Highway 22.

The driver of this vehicle told troopers she attempted to avoid the pedestrian but was unable to do so. After this impact, the pedestrian was struck by a second westbound vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Corolla.
