(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Sailors assigned to two U.S. Navy ships,USS Kansas City (LCS 22) and USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) will join crews on vessels from the U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy in Portland to participate in annual Portland Rose Festival activities, June 7-11.

It is a significant commitment by the Navy to make Rose Festival Fleet Week one of the premier Fleet Week events in the country.

Man Charged With Murder After Mass Shooting in Portland

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were hospitalized with injuries.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Multnomah County DA Mike Schmidt announced nine charges filed against 43-year old Benjamin Smith including one count of Murder in the Second Degree with a firearm, four counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree with a firearm, two counts of Assault in the first degree with a firearm and two counts of Assault in the Second Degree with a firearm.

DA Schmidt also sought and received a warrant for Smith’s arrest.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - On Thursday June 22, 2017, a Multnomah County Grand Jury determined that a Portland Police Bureau officer was justified in the use of deadly force in the May 2017 shooting of 24-year-old Terrell Kyreem Johnson.

The grand jury determined that the use of deadly force against Johnson was a lawful exercise of self-defense under Oregon law.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 in Willamette National Cemetery to honor the life of Air Force veteran, Casey Kathleen Finnegan, a.k.a. Anne Kathleen Finnegan.

This service will be unique with all lady veteran pallbearers at the conclusion of the graveside. Also, theater students from Clackamas High School, who are preparing to release a rendition of “A Piece of My Heart,” a true story of women who served in Vietnam, will be in attendance to pay tribute.

Woman Arrested for Stabbing Two People in Downtown Portland

Chetnik was associated with the two victims.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Officers arrived in the area and located two people, a male and a female, suffering from knife wounds. Both were transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located Chetnik in the area, and a fourth person involved in the altercation.
