One way that “victory” can be determined, is by planning when participant departures take place and how long a protest will last.

Kidnapped at Knife Point

Harris held them at knife point for approximately 20-30 minutes

Police say a man and women were kidnapped at knife point yesterday.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., May 15 2013, North Precinct officers responded to the area of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Going Street on the report of a male and female screaming on the street.

Portland Police Arrest Suspect in Deadly Cully Neighborhood Shooting

A 21-year-old female is being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
(PORTLAND, OR) -
The man sought by police for the fatal shooting of 33-year old Anton Lashawn Hill last Wednesday, 30-year old Bradley Caro O'Rourke, turned himself in today.
O'Rourke was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Murder, Attempted Murder and Assault in the First Degree.

When GM boss Charles E. "Engine Charlie" Wilson appeared in 1953 for his nomination hearings to head the Pentagon, a senator asked him if as secretary of defense he could make a decision adverse to the interests of General Motors.
Wilson qualified his answer by declaring he could not conceive of such a situation "because for years I thought what was good for our country was good for General Motors and vice versa."

Deputies Respond to Fatal Crash Involving a Child

Sheriff's Deputies respond to a crash where an 11-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle while she was in her front yard. The girl did not survive her injuries.

Lawsuit Filed to Overturn Latest Spotted Owl Critical Habitat

Today, the American Forest Resource Council joined the several other groups, in a lawsuit to overturn the latest Northern Spotted Owl critical habitat designation.
The case was filed in federal District Court in Washington, D.C., against the Secretary of Interior and the Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
