Four People Die in Crash Near Government Camp

Tragic crash claims four lives

(GOVERNMENT CAMP) - fatal crash investigation Four people died in a head-on crash on Highway 26 near Government Camp Sunday afternoon.

It happened at about 1:20 PM on Highway 26 near milepost 64, which is eight miles east of Government Camp.

Police say a black 1999 BMW operated by 22-year old Andrey Blashishin of Portland had been eastbound on Highway 26 when it crossed the centerline and struck a silver 2004 Dodge Intrepid operated by 55-year old Gary Dean Matlick of Bend, that had been traveling westbound.

Passenger Dies in Rollover Crash South of Salem

(SALEM) - A single vehicle roll over crash occurred at approximately 1020 pm on April
29th at mile point 242 on Interstate 5, South of Salem. Police say a 2003 Nissan Altima struck the median guardrail and rolled over ejecting several of the occupants.

Police are working to confirm the age of the driver, Carlos Cabrera of Baldwin Park, Ca, who sustained minor injuries. A female passenger, 21-year old Mayra Hinojosa, sustained serious injuries. Both Cabrera and Hinojosa were transported to Salem Hospital.

Another passenger, 38-year old Roberto Miguel Cabrera, was transported to Good Samaritan hospital in Corvallis with critical injuries.

Young Girl Dies in Rollover Crash South of McMinnville

This is the second fatal crash in the last five days on this stretch of LaFayette Highway, Frederick "Rick" Braun of Forest Grove died Tuesday when a driver turned in front of his Harley Davidson.

(MCMINNVILLE) - An 11-year old girl died Saturday morning after the vehicle she was a passenger in rolled over on SE La Fayette Highway about five miles south of McMinnville.

Police say a Nissan Quest van driven by the victim's mother, Maria Rios-Andrade, was northbound at milepost 5.5 on SE La Fayette Highway at approximately 8:30 AM.

After coming out of a left hand curve, investigators say Maria Rios-Andrade lost control for an unknown reason and the van rolled, coming to rest upside in the ditch bordering the southbound lane.

Truck Crashes Into 2 Parked Cars

Accidents happen when you least expect them

(SALEM) - crash scene march 27 2006 The Salem Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the 1700 block of Commercial Street SE on Monday, March 27th at 3:00 PM. First arriving fire fighter/paramedics discovered a Ford F150 truck had collided with two parked cars.

The driver and two occupants, two young children, were not injured due to the accident. The driver stated he started coughing and must have blacked out for a moment.

Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-205 Involves Four Cars and Two Commercial Trucks

(TUALATIN) - Scene of crash on I-205 Oregon State Police troopers report that four passenger vehicles and two commercial trucks were involved in a traffic crash early Friday afternoon that completely closed Interstate 205 southbound lanes near the Tualatin River.

Responding fire personnel say 3 people were transported for treatment and about 30 gallons of fuel spilled from a tank. All lanes reportedly reopened by 3:00 PM.
