Three Medford-area teenagers, graduates this year from South Medford High School, were killed early Tuesday morning when their vehicle lost control on Highway 238 near Ruch, crashed into a tree and came to rest upside down in the Applegate River. A Salem man died early Tuesday morning after surviving a major rollover crash with his family on Breitenbusch Rd SE. According to reports, 38-year-old Vladimir Gorkavchenko attempted to climb back up to the road using a loaded rifle as a brace when the fatal shot was accidentally fired.
