(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Gas prices are moving higher, driven primarily by a jump in crude oil prices. Some refinery and distribution issues in the Pacific Northwest are causing prices here to rise faster than the national average.

For the week, the national average for regular climbs a penny to $3.30 a gallon. The Oregon average jumps seven cents to $3.90.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Sunday night just before 7 p.m. Sunday, Deputies were called out to a disturbance at a home. The 911 caller said an unknown male attempted to break into the home at 45th Ave NE near Iberis Street, and the resident shot the intruder.

The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no further injuries.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The National Weather Service has issued another Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4am to noon Thursday for the central Willamette Valley, including the cities of Salem, McMinnville, Woodburn, Stayton, and Dallas.

Total snow accumulation is expected to be 1 to 2 inches, mainly north and east of Salem.

Hit and Run Driver Arraigned for Killing 16-Year Old

Deputies identified 26-year old Armando Rodarte Jr. of Salem as the driver of the Honda Civic.

(SALEM, Ore.) - There was evidence that a victim had sustained serious injuries and likely did not survive the collision. However, the victim was missing from the scene, as well as the offending vehicle.

Over an hour later, a caller reported a red Honda Civic with a deceased person inside several miles away near Wheatland Road NE.
