(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Edd Lahar The investigation began on January 30th, 2019, when information was brought forth to the Police Department that Lahar had sexually explicit images involving a child on a cell phone.

During the investigation, which included serving a search warrant at Lahar’s residence, additional evidence uncovered numerous incidents of sex crimes against Lahar’s infant female child.

Oregon Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Sexually Abusing Children at Orphanage in Cambodia

Johnson systematically and repeatedly molested children who lived at an unlicensed orphanage he started and ran in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

(EUGENE, Ore.) - child abuse 40-year old Daniel Stephen Johnson, of Coos Bay, Oregon, was sentenced to life in federal prison on January 18th for repeatedly sexually abusing children who lived at an orphanage operated by the defendant in Cambodia.

In a jury trial last May, the "American missionary" was convicted on six counts of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place and one count each of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and aggravated sexual assault with a child.

No longer is it a crime to salvage a fresh killed deer or elk for personal use.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon roadkill Salvaging deer and elk struck by vehicles is now legal in Oregon. If you do hit and kill a large wild animal or see a dead one on the roadway, remove it to the side of the road if it is safe to do so. If this can’t be done safely, call 911.

Only deer, elk and unprotected animals may be salvaged from roadways. It remains unlawful to salvage cougar, bear, pronghorn, bighorn sheep or Rocky Mountain goat.

UPDATE: Salem SWAT Deployed for Barricaded Burglary Suspect

Salem Police are on scene at this time. Citizens are asked to keep their distance.

(SALEM, Ore.) - salem police UPDATE:
At approximately 1:20 p.m. Kenneth Ketchem was taken into custody by Salem SWAT. He is currently being treated for injuries.

The Salem Fire Department is on scene fighting a fire set by Ketchem while he was barricaded inside the residence. Numerous charges are forthcoming. No other people were injured in the incident.

Second Fatal Crash into Willamette River this Month

The vehicle was fully submerged but visible in the river.

(BENTON COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash At 7:30 this morning, deputies from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash into the Willamette River on Highway 20, mile marker 2, just east of Corvallis.

The location was approximately a half mile east of the location where a car had fatally driven off Highway 20 on January 7th.

Victims Identified in Oregon Quadruple Murder

Four people were murdered Saturday, Jan. 19, in rural Clackamas County between Woodburn and Canby.

(CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore.) - Mark Leo Gregory Gago Upon arrival, deputies were involved in a deadly force situation in which the homicide suspect was killed. The suspect was identified as 42-year old Mark Leo Gregory Gago.

Investigators have determined that there are 4 homicide victims and 2 survivors.
