An aircraft from the Oregon Army National Guard has joined the search in Central Oregon for U of O Professor Daming Xu. The military helicopter was sent to the scene after a request from the Office of Emergency Management and Lane and Deschutes County Sheriff's Office.

Early Friday morning, a man driving a pickup truck crashed into the side of an apartment building in Aloha. His vehicle struck the room where children normally sleep and caused severe damage to the building. The driver of the truck fled the scene, and deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding him.

Skeletal remains were discovered by a hunter in a remote area of Linn County Saturday afternoon. Sheriff Tim Mueller in Linn County says the human skeleton was found near McCully Mountain Road, south of Lyons. Mueller say deputies responded to the area and confirmed that it was in fact human.
