Car Bursts Into Flames During Fatal Head-On Crash in Hillsboro

Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to search the area looking for any additional patients who might have been ejected from the heavily damaged cars, but found none.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Fatal crash Hillsboro Police report that Tualatin Valley Highway is closed in both directions at this hour between Brookwood and SW 229th due to a fatal MVA. Hillsboro Police and Fire Departments are on scene.

Henry Reimann with Hillsboro Police, says two cars apparently collided head-on. "One car, with a single occupant, reportedly burst into flames upon impact," Reimann said.

Soldering Torch Sparks Residential Fire‏ in Hillsboro

Hillsboro Fire and Rescue reminds all homeowners who plan to use open flame devices to always have a fire extinguisher within reach.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Hillsboro Fire Engineer Randy Tegen Fire investigators in Hillsboro say a homeowner replacing his own water heater sparked a one-alarm fire that damaged his Hillsboro home Wednesday afternoon.

Storm Smith with Hillsboro Fire says the fire at 132 SE 41st Avenue was reported to 9-1-1 dispatchers at 3:36 p.m. "When the first Hillsboro Firefighters arrived from the Parkwood Station #5, they found residents outside waiving them in and smoke pouring from the crawl spaces of the home."

Three Arrested as Detectives Raid Hillsboro and North Plains Residences

Police say the investigation dismantled a midlevel Heroin Drug Trafficking Organization that was distributing Heroin throughout the area while carrying firearms.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Items police recovered during the arrest, guns cash drugs Washington County's Tactical Negotiations Team served two separate search warrants this morning at 4:00 a.m. Sgt. Bob Ray with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says one warrant was served at 3660 NW 313th Avenue in Hillsboro, and another warrant was served at a second residence located at 10037 NW Iron Ridge Place in North Plains.

Oregon Man Reportedly Murdered Two Children Before Committing Suicide

The bodies of the two kids, ages 6 and 7, were discovered along with their 45-year old father by a hiker.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - death investigation Police say a father is responsible for the Murder of two Hillsboro kids yesterday.

Their bodies were found by a hiker Friday around 1:00 p.m. in the Jackson Bottom Nature Preserve, along with the body of the father, who apparently took his own life.

Hillsboro Police have released some new information in the murder-suicide case and they have identified the deceased.

Two Small Children & Adult Killed in Apparent Murder / Suicide

The crime likely occurred sometime in the morning hours of May 29, 2009. The persons involved were victims of gunshots.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve Hillsboro Police say officers were called out Friday at approximately 1:00 p.m. to The Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve on SW Hillsboro Highway, over a report of three bodies found deceased.

Lt. Michael Rouches says a hiker on a trail near Otter Marsh viewing area, discovered the bodies of two children; approximate ages 6 or 7 years old, and an adult male, approximately 35-40 years old.

Fire Damages Hillsboro Gas Station Building‏ (VIDEO)

The fire produced such thick black smoke outside that at least two neighboring businesses chose to temporarily close and evacuated their buildings.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Airport 76 gas station fire in Hillsboro, Oregon A one-alarm fire caused an estimated 60-thousand dollars in damage to the building housing the Airport 76 Gas and Market at 1729 NE Cornell Road Thursday.

Storm Smith with Hillsboro Fire and Rescue, says two residents of an apartment complex behind the gas station ran into the facility to report the fire to the employees inside. All employees and customers of the store escaped unharmed.

Crash Closes Oregon 219 Near Newberg

Officials suggest motorists who are passing through the area use alternate routes, such as Oregon 47, the Tualatin Valley/Nehalem Highway, or Oregon 99W, Pacific Highway West.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Crash investigation Police report that a vehicle crash has traffic stopped on Oregon 219, the Hillsboro/Silverton Highway, at mile post 219. The serious injury crash has closed Oregon 219 just north of the city of Newberg.

ODOT states at this point that the highway will remain closed while emergency service personnel respond and for any subsequent police investigation.

Hillsboro Police Arrest Child Pornography Suspect

It is believed that there are no other victims associated with this case.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - 69-year old Don Smith faces charges related to child pornography Images of what appeared to be a nude underage female, led to the arrest of a 69-year old Hillsboro man on Child Pornography charges.

It came to the attention of police after a caretaker of the suspect's wife reportedly noticed images of a nude minor female on the suspect's computer.

Hillsboro Police Detectives Arrest Murder Suspect

Police make an arrest in the Juanita Rosales-Garcia missing person case.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - 37-year old Delfino Hurtado-Navarette of Hillsboro Hillsboro Police Detectives arrested 37-year old Delfino Hurtado-Navarette of Hillsboro for the murder of his live-in girlfriend, 40-year old Juanita Rosales-Garcia, also of Hillsboro.

Police say it began as a missing person case on March 10, 2009 when Hurtado-Navarette reported Ms. Rosales-Garcia missing from their home in Hillsboro.
