Crash Closes Oregon 219 Near Newberg

Officials suggest motorists who are passing through the area use alternate routes, such as Oregon 47, the Tualatin Valley/Nehalem Highway, or Oregon 99W, Pacific Highway West.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Police report that a vehicle crash has traffic stopped on Oregon 219, the Hillsboro/Silverton Highway, at mile post 219.

The serious injury crash has closed Oregon 219 just north of the city of Newberg.

ODOT states at this point that the highway will remain closed while emergency service personnel respond and for any subsequent police investigation.

They suggest motorists who are passing through the area use alternate routes, such as Oregon 47, the Tualatin Valley/Nehalem Highway, or Oregon 99W, Pacific Highway West.
