One Person Remains Missing in the Clackamas River After Rescue

Clackamas officials say two people were rescued.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Oregon river A report of a man in the Clackamas River having difficulty came in this afternoon at 4:50 p.m., Detective Jeffrey Green with the Clackamas Sheriff said.

Witnesses reportedly saw a person floating into the area of the rapids and not coming up, near the walking bridge between Gladstone and Oregon City.

Clackamas Deputies Arrest Soccer Coach on Sex Abuse Charges

An adult coach was arrested over alleged contact with a 16-year old girl.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - 29-year old Travis Ferguson The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrested Travis Ferguson yesterday as a result of an investigation involving Ferguson being involved in a sexual relationship with a person he coached.

Detective Jeffrey Green with the Clackamas Sheriff, says the arrest came about from an investigation developed by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputy who works as the School Resource Officer for Rex Putnam High School.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Bear attack victim Spring is a time of renewal in Oregon and around the Pacific Northwest. It is also the time of year when bears wake up from their long winter naps and come out of their dens to look for food.

Unfortunately, many of these animals get themselves into trouble by looking for meals in all the wrong places – porches, sheds, garages, garbage cans, barbecues, kennels and bird feeders, where they can become a nuisance … or worse.

Clackamas County Water Rescue Successful in the Clackamas River

The third person has been located, alive.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A drift boat was overturned in the Clackamas River this morning, with three people on board, reported at 10:15 a.m. Two of the boaters were quickly located by Marine patrol personnel and they are now safe on land.

The third individual was reportedly not wearing a personal floatation device (PFD), making the risk to him much more intense, as the present water temperature of the Clackamas River is 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

Preliminary Information Regarding Death Investigation at Welches-area Parking Lot

The victim is identifued as 44-year old John Eugene Jarrett Jr. of Beaverton.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Oregon State Police and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the apparent accidental death of a food service delivery employee Tuesday morning who was found injured at the Welches Subway sandwich shop parking lot.

Oregon State Police Info: Lieutenant Gregg Hastings says the investigation indicates that today around 10:45 a.m., the victim, who works for Food Services of America, parked his commercial truck in the rear parking lot of the Welches Subway restaurant.

Bank Robbery Suspect Captured After Police Chase

Police say that after a car chase, suspect fled on foot but was quickly captured.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - 51-year old Ronald William Henning II On Tuesday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m., employees of the Clackamas County Bank located at 2482 SE Burnside Rd called 911 indicating the bank was being robbed.

The robber was described as a 6'2 thin white male, wearing a motorcycle helmet and brandishing a gun. The suspect reportedly took an undisclosed amount of money.

Officials Find IED at Oregon School

The Metro Explosive Disposal Unit responded to the school, took control of the device, and transported it to a location for disposal.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Explosive device recovered at La Salle Catholic College Preparatory Police say that around 8:45 a.m. today, a La Salle Catholic College Preparatory employee found what appeared to be an unexploded device near the landscape shed on the school campus.

Detective Jeffrey Green with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded and identified the device as an improvised explosive device or "IED" which is what soldiers and Marines are often killed with in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Surveilance Video and Images of Suspect in Assault of Elderly Woman (VIDEO)

The woman suffered severe injuries to her head, neck and upper torso after being attacked inside her cobalt-blue PT Cruiser.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - 73-year old woman who was assaulted in Clackamas, Ore. 1-24-09 Investigators in Clackamas County have released suspect information in the assault and kidnapping of a 73-year old woman last week.

As it turns out, the man was videotaped by three different cameras on the day of the assault, and they aren't grainy black and white images; even if the angle of the suspect isn't entirely clear, the video quality itself is.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office, says he hopes somebody in the public recognizes the man and calls their agency with information about his identity and location.

The reported crime took place Saturday afternoon in Clackamas‏ for an hour and ten minutes.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - PT Cruiser Clackamas County Sheriff's Office investigators are seeking a suspect responsible for assaulting a 73-year-old female, commandeering her automobile, and then driving her and the victim's vehicle into downtown Portland, Saturday afternoon.
