UO Men’s Golf Sixth at UCLA Tourney

(SAN MARTIN, Calif.) - Oregon Ducks The University of Oregon’s men’s golf team dropped one spot and stand in sixth place after the second round of the sixth annual Gifford Collegiate Championship at CordeValle.

The Ducks shaved 13 strokes off of their opening round score, posting a 7-over 362, but trail No. 16 Stanford by 21 shots heading into Wednesday's final round of the 12-team, 54-hole event. The Cardinal are 6-over (716) for the tourney, followed by host No. 3 UCLA (727), USC (729), Northwestern (731), No. 25 Washington (734) and Oregon (737).

Oregon State Women’s Golf Concludes Final Tournament Of Fall Season

(STANFORD, California) - Beavers logo The Oregon State women’s golf team wrapped up its fall season with a 19th place finish at the Pac-10/SEC Women’s Golf Challenge Sunday afternoon at the par-71, 6,103 yard Stanford Golf Course.

The final round was delayed two hours and played in inclement weather that made the scores much higher than the previous two rounds. But the Beavers shot a 305 on Sunday, just one stroke off their Saturday round and 15 strokes better than their opening round.

No. 13 Women’s Soccer Falls in Season Finale to California, 1-0

(BERKELEY, California) - Beavers logo The 13th-ranked Oregon State women’s soccer team fell Sunday in its season finale against California, 1-0. The Beavers finish the season with a program best record of 15-3-1 overall and 7-2-0 in conference play. They now await their fate as the 2010 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament field is selected live on ESPNU Monday at 1:30 p.m. PT.

It was a scoreless draw through regulation and the first 10 minute overtime period before California’s Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick scored the golden-goal at 105:36 to give the Golden Bear’s the 1-0 double overtime victory Sunday.

(STANFORD, Calif.) - Oregon Ducks The Oregon (7-10-3, 3-5-1 Pac-10) soccer team closed its regular season with a 3-0 setback at No. 1 Stanford (18-0-2, 9-0 Pac-10) at Cagan Stadium on Sunday.

The Pac-10 champion Cardinal scored a pair of goals in a 1:27 span with tallies from Camille Levin in the 16th minute and Rachel Quon in the 18th minute. Stanford took the 2-0 lead into halftime.

Oregon State Men’s Soccer Drops Home Match To No. 12 UCLA

(Corvallis, Oregon) - Beavers logo The Oregon State men’s soccer team held No. 12 UCLA scoreless in the first half but fell, 3-0, to the Bruins Sunday afternoon at Paul Lorenz Field.

The Beavers (6-10-0, 1-8 Pac-10) came out aggressive in the first half and outshot the Bruins 10-4 with four of those shots on goal. Oregon State outshot UCLA 17-12 overall in the match.

Balanced Attack Leads Warriors Over HNU

Corban will return to the hardwood next Saturday inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center in Salem Oregon

(OAKLAND, Calif.) - Corban Warriors logo Junior Erik Cronrath (Battle Ground, Washington) led the Warriors with 17 points and 9 rebounds as Corban's men's basketball team prevailed against Holy Names, 91-80, Saturday night in the Tobin Gymnasium.

The Warriors started slowly, soon facing a 17-8 deficit to the host Hawks. After fighting back to tie the game at 24-all, Corban played Holy Names to a virtual draw over the rest of the first half, as NHU took a slim 41-39 into the break. Cronrath and freshman Josiah Sebens (Bellingham, Wash.) led the Warriors with 8 points each in the first 20 minutes, while the Hawks' David Scott scored 13 first-half points for the hosts.
