Little Tops No. 27 Duck Golfers in Pac-10/SEC Challenge Second Round

( STANFORD, California) - University of Oregon The No. 27 University of Oregon women’s golf team stood in 18th place after the second round of the Pac-10 / SEC Challenge Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course.

Oregon shot a 22-over score of 306 on the par-71 course and dropped two positions in the overall standings (307-306-613) in the field that that featured seven top-10 teams among the 17 ranked top 40 this week by Golfstat.

Lady Owls Pick up First Win 69-66

Oregon Tech was led in scoring by Aundrea Albright

(VALLEJO, California) - Oregon Tech Athletics Oregon Tech’s Colleen Hunt went 4-4 from the foul line over the last minute to preserve the Lady Owls first win of the 2010 season 69-66 over the Keelhaulers of Cal Maritime Academy. Tech moves to 1-1 on the season and will host Pacific Union on Sunday, November 7th at Danny Miles Court with a 2:00 pm start. Cal Maritime slips to 0-2 with the loss.

Willamette Swimming Teams Host Mills College and College of Idaho

Bearcat Women Defeat Cyclones

(SALEM, Oregon) - Willamette Bearcats The Willamette University men's and women's swimming teams hosted Mills College (Calif.) and the College of Idaho in a tri-meet on Friday. Mills competed in the women's events, while College of Idaho participated in the men's events and the women's events.

The Bearcats edged Mills College on the women's side, as WU outscored the Cyclones, 58-30. The College of Idaho Lady Yotes slipped by Willamette, 49-46, and also downed Mills, 68-25. In men's action, the College of Idaho defeated Willamette, 117-39.

Oregon Air National Guard to Take Part in Veterans Day Flyovers Around the State

(SALEM, Oregon) - 173d Fighter Wing F-15 The Oregon Air National Guard will conduct Veterans Day flyovers for various ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

F-15 Eagle fighter jets from the 142nd Fighter Wing in Portland and the 173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the following locations and approximate times:

All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and 350 knots airspeed. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.

Oregon State Men’s Golf Finishes Second At Pacific Invitational

(STOCKTON, Calif.) - Beavers logo The Oregon State men’s golf team held its position on Wednesday to finish in second place at the 12-team Pacific Invitational.

The Beavers finished with a 6-under 277-281-288--846 at the par-71, 6,757-yard Brookside Country Club for their highest finish of the fall season. They finished sixth at the Husky Invitational and third at the Cabo Collegiate and Alister MacKenzie Invitational.

Women’s Golf To Compete At Inaugural Pac-10/SEC Challenge

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Beavers logo The Oregon State women’s golf team will conclude its fall season at the inaugural Pac-10/SEC Women’s Golf Challenge Friday through Sunday at Stanford, Calif.

The tournament includes 21 teams from the Pacific-10 Conference and Southeastern Conference playing 54 holes over three days at the par-71, 6,103-yard Stanford Golf Course. The field includes 10 teams ranked in the Top 25, including six of the top 10. Arizona State is only school from the two conferences not competing.

(STOCKTON, Calif.) - Beavers logo The Oregon State men’s golf team remains in second place after the second day of competition on Tuesday at the 12-team Pacific Invitational.

The Beavers shot a 3-under 281 on Tuesday after firing a 7-under 277 on Monday and sit 15 strokes behind host Pacific University, which got a tournament, course and program record 10-under 61 from T.J. Bordeaux. Marquette is in third at 3-under 565 and Fresno State is in fourth at 1-under 567
