Suspects Arrested in Beaverton Residential Robbery

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Left: Ryan Morris Schulberg Right: Andrew Kraig Yarborough-Gamble On October 14, 2010, shortly before 2:00 p.m., the Beaverton Police Department received a call of shots fired at 5921 S.W. 141st Avenue. Witnesses reported having seen two males in the apartment complex parking lot with a gun. The suspects fled before police arrived.

As officer's approached the area of S.W. 141st Avenue they saw the suspect's car driving away, northbound on S.W. 141st Avenue. A short, low speed pursuit ensued but ended within ten blocks of the original scene.

Three Local Companies Receive City`s Beaverton 4 Business Award

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Seal of the City of Beaverton Oregon A trio of successful Beaverton-based companies, GemStone Systems, Decarli and Voxtel, Inc., will receive Beaverton 4 Business awards from Mayor Denny Doyle and City Council at the Beaverton City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 12 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall (4755 SW Griffith Drive).

Launched in October 2009, Beaverton 4 Business is a program conducted in partnership with the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce that publicly recognizes the significant achievements of businesses either headquartered or with operations in Beaverton.

Beaverton Police Arrest Rape Suspect

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Alonzo Dewayne Odom During the early morning hours of October 9, 2010, Beaverton police were called to a sexual assault that had been witnessed by a third party. The witness called police immediately after observing Alonzo Odom, a 38 year old Beaverton resident, engaged in sexual activity with a 14 year old female.

Odom fled from the location when he learned police had been called, causing police to begin an extensive search. However, within 45 minutes of receiving the initial call officers had located and arrested Odom.

Beaverton Police Asking Public`s Help in Identifying Burglary Suspects

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Beaverton ATM Robbery On October 3, 2010, at 4:38 a.m., Beaverton police officers were dispatched to an alarm at Richard's Deli, 3625 S.W. Hall Boulevard. The front doors were found ajar and the ATM machine missing.

Upon review of the video tape, police found two suspects had pried the front doors open with a crow bar, pulled the ATM free from its floor bolts using a tow strap, drug it out of the store and loaded it onto the bed of a white pickup truck. The truck is possibly a mid 1980's, boxy style, with a black bed liner.

Navy Recruiter Arrested for Luring a Minor

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 25-year old Phillip Marcel Chartier Monday at 8:45 a.m. the Beaverton Police Department received a call from Sunset High School, where a student had reported to her school counselor that she had been receiving inappropriate text messages from a Navy Recruiter.

The recruiter, 25-year old Phillip Marcel Chartier, works full time as a recruiter for the United States Navy. Local high schools are one of the many areas Navy recruiters encompass in hopes of enlisting young men and women.

Pedestrian Falls into Path of Tri-Met Train

When the victim fell, it appears he landed between the tracks and the platform wall.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Beaverton, Oregon Trimet bus Beaverton Police were called out at 1:00 a.m. to an accident at the Sunset Tri-Met Max platform. It was reported a person had fallen onto the tracks and was injured, according to Detective Pam Yazzolino with Beaverton Police.

Beaverton Driver Injured in Early Morning Crash (PHOTOS)

Police believe the driver was traveling too fast for the foggy conditions.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Crash on Oregon's Sunset Highway, 11-1-09 Deputies say a driver suffered serious non-life threatening injuries early this morning when his vehicle, eastbound on Sunset Highway, slammed into the back of a parked semi truck.

Sgt. Dave Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says 44-year old driver, Arnufo Reyes Jr. of Beaverton, was driving his 2005 Mercedes C230 east on Highway 26, the Sunset Highway east of the Highway 6 intersection when the crash happened Sunday, November 1st, at 6:04 a.m.

Beaverton Apartment Fire Displaces Nine

Though firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes of arrival, the unit involved was completely destroyed and three adjacent units were damaged by smoke and water.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Fire in Beaverton, Oregon 10-4-09 Firefighters responded to reports of a fully-involved apartment fire just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, in the Hunt's Court complex in Beaverton on SW Farmington Road.

Cassandra Ulven with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, says the incident commander, who arrived seconds before the first fire crews, feared the worst when he saw a wall of flames coming from the single-story complex.

Beaverton Police Say Suspect Used Bomb Threat to Rob Bank (PHOTOS)

Beaverton Police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect named Robert Kuch, who reportedly stated he would not go back to prison alive.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Bank robbery suspect Robert Koch Beaverton Police say a lone male robbed a Chase Bank Wednesday by threatening a teller with a bomb. Detective Pam Yazzolino with Beaverton Police, says it happened inside the Fred Meyers at 11425 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway in Beaverton Wednesday at 12:39 p.m. and informed the teller that he had an explosive device in a black bag and demanded money.

The building was initially evacuated as the suspect had purported to have a bag containing a bomb, which he left behind, Yazzolino said.

Deputies Locate Disabled Woman (UPDATE)

The Missing Woman, Sparkle Green, has returned home safely and unharmed.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Sparkle Green left her adult foster care home earlier this week and has not returned. Washington County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in locating a missing developmentally disabled woman from the community of Aloha.

26-year old Sparkle Thira Green left her adult foster care home last Tuesday, September 22nd, and went to her mother's house in NE Portland. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Sparkle Green left her adult foster care home earlier this week and has not returned. She was last seen in Portland and may be downtown, according to Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
