Suspects Arrested in Beaverton Residential RobberySalem-News.com
(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - On October 14, 2010, shortly before 2:00 p.m., the Beaverton Police Department received a call of shots fired at 5921 S.W. 141st Avenue. Witnesses reported having seen two males in the apartment complex parking lot with a gun. The suspects fled before police arrived.
As officer's approached the area of S.W. 141st Avenue they saw the suspect's car driving away, northbound on S.W. 141st Avenue. A short, low speed pursuit ensued but ended within ten blocks of the original scene.
The victim told police they had invited Andrew Kraig Yarborough-Gamble and Ryan Morris Schulberg over to visit but shortly thereafter a gun was pulled on the victim. 26 year old Andrew Yarborough-Gamble, of Tigard, held the gun while demanding narcotics from the resident.
Shots were fired into the air as demands continued from both Yarborough-Gamble and Schulberg (27), also from Tigard.
As the incident became louder and residents began looking into what was happening, the suspects fled. Both were taken into custody a short distance away without incident and the gun was recovered in the car. It was also discovered, during the course of the investigation, the gun was listed as stolen.
Andrew Yarborough-Gamble faces charges of Robbery I, Menacing, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Theft I by Receiving (for the stolen gun). Ryan Schulberg was charged with Robbery I.
