(MONMOUTH, Ore. ) - Western Oregon's Travis Kuhns scored 27 points to help lead his red-hot teammates to a 110-88 season opening victory over Corban College on Saturday night in front of 1,125 fans at the Physical Education Building.
Kuhns led five total Wolves in double figures as WOU begins the year at 1-0. The Warriors dropped to 1-2 with the loss. Sam Kelly hit all seven of his shots on the night, including four three-pointers, to finish with 19 points. Read Full Article

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Led by an impressive double-double of 20 points and 20 rebounds from Molly Fillion, the Willamette University Bearcats routed the Haverford College Fords, 77-43, on Saturday in the second round of the Bon Appetit Classic at Lewis & Clark College.
The Willamette University men's basketball team took a 16-point lead partway through the first half, but Eastern Oregon University rallied for a 95-88 victory, on the second day of the 21st Annual Duane Wolfe Memorial Golden Rule Shoot-Out, Saturday at the College of Idaho.

(NORTHFIELD, Minn.) - Willamette University senior runner Sarah Zerzan repeated as the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country National Champion after finishing first at the 2007 National Championships on Saturday at St. Olaf College.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Malik Hairston scored 24 points and the 11th-ranked Oregon Ducks beat the Portland Pilots 85-61 on Saturday night.

The decisive stretch of the game occurred early in the second half with the score tied at 37-37 as Oregon State responded to a game-tying jumper by USC Upstate with a 13-0 run to take a commanding lead.

(BELMONT, Calif. ) - Humboldt State broke open a tight game with a 58-point second half outburst during a 106-79 women's basketball win over Western Oregon on Friday at the NDNU Tip-Off Classic in Belmont, Calif.
Humboldt State's Katie Franci had 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists as the Lumberjacks. Shayla Corder led Western Oregon with 20 points.
