(MANHATTAN, Kan.) - Oregon pieced together a valiant and inspiring comeback on the home floor of No. 9 seed Kansas State, and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in the program’s history with 3-2 (24-30, 20-30, 30-27, 36-34, 15-11) victory over the Wildcats at Ahearn Field House.
Oregon (22-10) will now head to Stanford to play UCLA in the Sweet 16 on Friday, Dec. 7, with match time still to be decided.

(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Western Oregon had 75 yards in quarterback sacks, scored on a fumble recovery in the end zone and had 300 yards in total offense to defeat Colorado School of Mines 26-12 in the 22nd annual Dixie Rotary Bowl at Hansen Stadium in St. George, Utah.
The Wolves defense, which did not give up a score until just less than 10 minutes remained in the game, took down Mines quarterback David Pesek eight times for 75 yards in losses.

Oregon's Strong man singlehandedly without interruption made the touchdown and the extra point that tied them with the Beavers before halftime.

Pacific (1-4) led by as much as six early in the first half thanks in part to 46 percent shooting from the field, but could muster only five field goals in the second stanza and turned the ball over 21 times.
