Greg Biffle Wins Wet & Wild Kansas Race

At the finish, defending Cup champion Jimmie Johnson reclaimed the points lead.

(KANSAS CITY, Kan. ) - Greg BiffleGreg Biffle won his first race of the 2007 season in a wet and wild race at Sunday's Lifelock 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Seven of the 12 Chase drivers placed 30th or worse, leaving the standings as hectic as the weather. The race was shortened 85 miles due to two rain delays and impending darkness.

After Oregon State missed a pair of good chances to grab the early lead, Idaho connected on the first goal of the match with just 83 seconds left in the first half as Anna Edmonds scored on a rebound to give the Vandals the lead going into halftime.

With the win, Corban improves to 6-7-0 overall, 3-2-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

(LA GRANDE, Ore.) - Jessica MatthewsSophomore Jessica Matthews scored the game's only goal on a penalty kick in the 19th minute, as Corban's women's soccer team defeated the Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon, 1-0, on Saturday at University Field.

In its final road game this season, Corban took advantage of Matthews' team-leading 8th goal of the season when she capitalized on the Warriors' easiest scoring opportunity.

Warriors Slay Knights of Warner Pacific

Sophomore setter Amy Thompson handed out a match-high 52 assists for Corban.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Chelsea ReeherJunior Chelsea Reeher recorded a match-high 18 kills, as Corban's women's volleyball team defeated the Knights of Warner Pacific, 3-1 (31-29, 30-23, 24-30, 30-24), on Saturday night inside C.C. Perry Gym to push its winning streak to two matches and remaining in the CCC playoff picture.

Thanks to this weekend's sweep in the Rose City, Corban continues to remain in the Cascade Collegiate Conference playoff picture and moves into a tie for fourth with Eastern Oregon and Oregon Tech, a mere three games out of first place.
