No. 1 USC Escapes Seattle With 27-24 Win Over Washington

The Trojans (4-0, 2-0 Pac-10) committed three turnovers and 16 penalties -- their most in more than two seasons -- for 161 yards and had a missed a field goal and blocked punt.

Stafon Johnson ran for 122 yards and a touchdown and Chauncey Washington added 106 yards and a score as USC overcame its own numerous mistakes and Washington in a 27-24 victory Saturday night.

Miller Scores Twice as Willamette Defeats Lewis & Clark

With the win, Willamette improved its record to 2-4-1 overall, 1-3-1 in the NWC.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - willamette soccerJunior forward Lauren Miller scored two goals, including the game-winner with 4:22 remaining, as Willamette University rallied past visiting Lewis & Clark College, 2-1, in a Northwest Conference game at Sparks Field.

After L&C scored on a 25-yard shot by Aly Robinson at 60:11 that went against the run of play, the Bearcats put together a comeback.

Willamette Takes Men's and Women's Team Titles at Charles Bowles Invitational

Overall, the event featured approximately 1,350 runners in the four college races and two high school races.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Sarah ZerzanWillamette University senior Sarah Zerzan won the Women’s 5K Cardinal Race in 17:20.15 and the Bearcats claimed the men’s and women’s team titles at the 33rd Annual Charles Bowles Invitational Cross Country Meet Saturday at Bush’s Pasture Park.

Zerzan won the Women’s 5K Cardinal Race by just under 11 seconds, as she claimed her second consecutive Charles Bowles Invitational title.

Vikings' Second-Half Rally Leads to 28-21 Road Win

(CHENEY, Wash.) - Jerry GlanvilleOvercoming a pair of first-half mistakes, the Portland State offense made the big plays in the second half on the way to a 28-21 Big Sky Conference road win at 21st-ranked Eastern Washington.

PSU commited two turnovers after long drives and trailed 14-7 at halftime. But, a nice mix of run and pass in the second half led to three touchdowns and kept Portland State in first place in the Big Sky Conference.
