(MOLALLA, Ore.) - I frequently reference my articles to see if comments come in months or even years after my articles were posted. Boy, do I get surprised! I punched up Marijuana Leveque (no s) to see if anyone had any remarks. Many people on purpose or by accident jump on my tailgate.

A story about large numbers of Medical Marijuana cards was adopted by Danny Danko of High Times on January 23, 2005. It had a flurry of responses at that time and they kept on coming right up to October 10, 2010 for a total of 17 pages which may be a record. Most disturbing of all was the almost insane complaints which I diagnose as virulent Reefer Madness, interspersed with patients who have truly gained much relief from Medical Marijuana. I will now produce a comment from an ignorant idiot called Strongerthanyou :

I'm so sick and tired of you users reciting the litany of connections between your personal addiction of choice and alcohol or cigarettes. I don't use any of it, and yet I still manage to swing my legs out of the bed every day without having to torch up. This despite having Fibromyalgia, arthritis, an extreme sleep disorder and severe depression.
Weed isn't medicine - it's a crutch just like any other addictive substance. If you people REALLY wanted marijuana to be seen as a legigimate medical treatment, you'd support it being prescribed like any other medicine: through a licensed pharmacy. People aren't allowed to cook up their own penicillin, digitalis, morphine, etc. Why should marijuana be considered different enough to allow the "patient" to produce it themselves? Why? Because it's not medicine. The system is just tired of hearing you people bitch about it and they're taking the chicken-s*** way out by giving baby what he's crying for.
Grow a f***ing backbone! At least have the honor to admit you're only looking to get buzzed. You're sucking a lot of truly sick people into the lie that this is going to help them and wasting time that they could be spending finding a legitimate medicine that will actually do them some good.

This will be followed by a defense of Medical Marijuana by Antony:

Excuse me theonlybrainyouget, your comments are not founded in logic nor science. As many recent, unbiased studies have found that marijuana is by far the safest therapeutic substance on the planet! Please, if you're going to bash a topic, do the research and make a legitimate argument based in fact and not biased, draconian policies. In any case marijuana does not make people lazy, stupid, or affect their motor coordination. you simply get high and happy, sleep well and wake up refreshed the next day and no hangover. Oh yeah, and if you are going to bring religion into the argument then it should be known that if god created nature then he most certainly made the marijuana plant. Man created alcohol. Cast your judgment somewhere else for judging others is wrong, if you don't agree with its use then don't use it. It is victimless and therefore is not a crime!

Another condemning article is by theonlybrainyouget seriously belittling the benefits of Medical Marijuana:

Talk about the walking wounded!
How can all these 20 year olds be suffering with so much pain? Operating you computer games? Try working you entire lives in labor market that fires you if you miss a day.
Is this next generation really that weak, or do they just sit around and feel sorry for themselves. If I concentrated on every ache and pain I would be a basket case too.
Try working for 40 years and see how your body feels. Getting high isn't going to help you life. It is going to affect the most important part of your body. YOUR BRAIN!
Don't sell out to pressures to party hardy. You will be reduced to a person that dreams, and talks big, argues about meaningless things, filled with self importance, and thinks potato chips are good for you.
Try tuffing it out and seeing what happens. It gets easier as you go through life. No one said it was going to be easy. Life is tough and competetive. Getting high will not change that.
If your back hurts find some exercises to help strengthen it. Don't just get high and turn into a pile of blubber. If you are depressed try to find someone to help, or get out into God's nature. Don't just get high and sit around in the dark with you friends, listening to music thinking about how much better you are now that you can get high legally.
It may help your popularity and you may get an extra date or two but you will pay a price for it. Would you want your parents to get high? How about your little sister, or brother? Do you really think it is right to take the "high way" rather then the right way? Long term, I mean?

A report of benefits of MMJ follows from Just me:

Okay so I have Bipolar disorder and have been smoking weed for about 5-6 years now. The days I don't smoke weed are fine at first but after a couple days the bipolar in me comes out hardcore. One minute I will be all over my boyfriend on how mmuch I love him and the next I am doing my hair crying because I can't get a curl right. I remember sometimes I used to cry and picture myself throwing my ceral because it was too crunchy lol. I am pretty crazy but the minute I take a couple puffs I am normal... YOu know if I smoke too much and become lazy or stupid wel than that is my own fault I did it not anyone else.

A comment seriously belaboring the Medial Marijuana process is from Eugene Stoner:

Another supporting article is by Mark

It is all about the "suffering" and the gentleman put it below. My spine is all messed up with DDD and surrounding muscles atrophied. Sometimes I just lay down for days on end just waiting for old age and death. But when I take a little toke, it's like I'm normal again and go for walks, biking, play my guitar, call up friends, basically I have interest in things once again.

DESPITE ALL THE PRO & CON MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS THE SAFEST MOST VERSATILE BEST MEDICINE EVER DISCOVERED.
