(SALEM, Ore.) - The discussion in this segment centers around questions and comments received from viewers. Hear Dr. Leveque's responses for a two tour Iraq veteran returning to Oregon, a woman suffering from PTSD, a man with asthma, another with rheumatoid arthritis, and even someone seeking information about the situation in Africa. Because our viewers come from all around the world, and all walks of life, you never know which direction the conversation will take us, but you can count on Dr. Leveque to tell it like it is and give viewers the straight scoop. From medical marijuana, pharmacology and PTSD, Dr. Leveque covers subjects like no one else. In the state of Oregon, these are the acceptable conditions in order to attain a medical marijuana permit:
How do you get a permit? This must be the most frequently asked question. Applications are available online. You MUST fill out an application completely, with a doctor's signature and pay a fee in order to get your permit. If you don't have a doctor but do have a documented accepted medical condition, there are several clinics in Oregon with doctors on staff that will see you. The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program is a State registry program within the Public Health Division, Oregon Department of Human Services. It is their role to administer the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act as approved by the voters of the State in November 1998. Multiple states have requested information on Oregon's program to use as a model for their own medical marijuana initiatives and registration systems. This is a successful program for the citizens of Oregon.
