Jul-22-2013 15:53TweetFollow @OregonNews PTSD Causes Heart Disease: REPRISEDr. Phil Leveque Professor of Pharmacology Salem-News.comMarijuana: it inhibits heart Arrhythmias
(PORTLAND, Ore.) - My recent article by this title brought a few responses so far, which suggested to me that I check the literature. I had previously written and posted two articles in Salem-News.com, which mentioned the articles, Cardiac Arrhythmias and Marijuana (April 5, 2008), and Cardiac Arrhythmias and Marijuana: Reprise (May 4, 2012), but the links did not work. I understand there was an html error, which has now been corrected. I finally did retrieve them by searching “cardiac arrhythmias and marijuana” where both reports showed up along with many more of the same subject. I don’t know what possessed me to write the original articles, but some people were making a big turmoil about the reflex tachycardia after the use of Cannabis/Marijuana (C/MJ). Here's the skinny: C/MJ causes generalized vasodilation, reduced blood pressure, and reflex tachycardia which in general is harmless and it occurs every time a person uses this medication. The earliest reference to those marijuana-induced Arrhythmias was in 1979; called cardiovascular complications induced by cannabis smoking. One site also included references to marijuana actually causing arrhythmias, but they may be referring to the reflex tachycardia or those with previous heart disease. The most complete list of references about the pharmacology and therapeutics of Cannabis/Marijuana is by Granny Storm Crow. I refer to her article, Cannabis and Heart Disease. Her article took off like wildfire. I found many references about C/MJ causing coronary artery vasodilation in experiments causing cardiac ischemia and arrhythmias. Granny Storm Crow had 8 pages of single-spaced references about this. I have taken medical histories and have done physical exams including auscultation of the heart on at least 2,000 medical marijuana patients. I detected no arrhythmias. At least 90% of my patients had been using C/MJ for years, and had been using it in the days and hours before they saw me. For further information, search “Bretyliun”.
Check out these articles by Granny Storm Crow: Got a question or comment for Dr. Leveque? More information on the history of Dr. Leveque can be found in his book, General Patton's Dogface Soldier of WWII about his own experiences "from a foxhole". If you are a World War II history buff, you don't want to miss it. Watch for more streaming video question and answer segments about medical marijuana with Bonnie King and Dr. Phil Leveque. Good find Daniel. Those drugs also cause suicidal tendencies, thus the high rate in veteran suicides. The pharma industry owns the government, and they cannot patent an herb, so they make it illegal thru lies, propaganda etc. While, at the same time, give orders to Marines to guard opium fields in Afghanistan spreading cheap and potent heroin all over this country. Making billions of dollars for the bankers and covert CIA operations taking over other countries for control over their banking system and taking their resources. Then, when you are caught possessing heroin that the Marines were guarding, you go to a pay for profit prison, owned by the bankers. Also, the evidence that the textile and pharma industry used hundreds of millions of dollars in propaganda demonizing marijuana, because it hurt their overall control and greed agenda is overwhelming. All wars are banker wars. Research it yourself before blindly killing people thru indoctrination and brainwashing: http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/allwarsarebankerwars.php

Bravo our Veterans!
[Return to Top]Current pharmaceutical drug PTSD treatment for Veterans found ineffective.
Eli Lilly made $70 billion on the Zyprexa franchise.Lilly was fined $1.4 billion for Zyprexa fraud!
The atypical antipsychotics (Zyprexa,Risperdal,Seroquel) are like a 'synthetic' Thorazine, only they cost ten times more than the old fashioned typical antipsychotics.
These newer generation drugs still pack their list of side effects like diabetes for the user. All these drugs work as so called 'major tranquilizers'.This can be a contradiction with PTSD suffers as we are hyper vigilant and feel uncomfortable with a drug that puts you to sleep and makes you sluggish.
That's why drugs like Zyprexa don't work for PTSD survivors like myself.
