(MOLALLA, Ore.) - One of our respondents made a great issue that the Army was not a democracy, (its a form of slavery!) but that the Uniform Code of Military Justice or UCMJ, "protected everyone." Holy smokes, were you in a light mess kit Repair Battalion? Coming to light now are many reports of rapes of female personnel here in the U.S. and in Iraq, and little or nothing being done about it, except that a Marine rapist killed and burned his victim. This old crap that the female must have encouraged it is just crap. See, if the rapists were shot or thrown in the slammer for about twenty years, that just might alleviate the situation. In the meantime, court martials for abuse of rank by harrassment, sexual or otherwise might help to convince me that the UCMJ is more than a facade. I meant it about the mess kit repair battalion. ******************************************************* Watch for more streaming video question and answer segments about medical marijuana with Bonnie King Dr. Phil Leveque. People I just read Henry/SFI's 11:21 post and it appears he thought I had directed my questions to him, which is absurd, I do not care about the opinion of people of this ilk. Furthermore when I posted my 9:21, the SFI's post was not put on...so my questions were directed to the aticle's author. Thank you. P.S. SFI, I simply do not care about your insipid vacuous nonsensical opinions about anything---which I say in the most respectful way. We are in two completely different realities...mine is conservative based, as were the founder's of my country, I do not expect interloper's to understand...

My 9:21 post dealt with experience as per the above rather brief opinion article. For example would any of you reader's out there want an MD acting as your defense attorney in a criminal trial that has no legal training? Would you want a lawyer to perform surgery on you or a loved one who has no medical training? Rational clear-thinking people would obviously answer no to both those questions. The author of the above article did not respond to my below questions so I assume he has no relevant experience in the "opinion" article he wrote (fine, and that is pretty common for Henry/SFI, in spades!). Suffice, it is an uninformed opinion. The SFI rambles on about what, I do not know, nor would reasonable people care about...poor dear.

To all: Personal family reminiscence is hardly relevant here re the existence and prevalence of this personality type. Reference to successful outcome of other person's lives --or the opposite, where that fits "attack mode"-- is also irrelevant. Re experience on this issue, my reference was to Dr. L's, clearly NOT to mine own. Does he NOW wish to attack the good Doctor ? On what grounds ? Surely he will not charge him with being essential non-combatant, thus removed from really rugged realities of military life ? BUT that small matter of choosing to attack MY own experience, NOT Dr. L's, makes no differentiation to neocon mind, in itself so muddled on defense and renewed attack that ration and reason are far out of its reach. My entire Comment was directed to personality-type, accurately stated, with no reference whatsoever to what he feels necessary to detail in depth, seeking some point of penetration that doth not exist. I note he found impossible any reference to either Ike or Butler, whose specific quotes I will supply on request and ID to editor, with some reluctance to further dominate thread needing sensible further dialog rather than useless political-attack palaver. We could, for example, go fully into detail about the true effects and impacts of waterboarding on development of honest, open, Christian style "character". N-N might even choose to do Op Ed or two on that one !! Since he seems to have late word on successful application including results by name on some characters concealed while they were worked over, he should be able to provide useful data bearing on that "character" reference.

So what is your actual experience with the UCMJ? Were you a prosecutor? A defense attorney? A military investigator? A researcher in the history of military justice over time? Or have you just provided an opinion based on what you think is happening? Compare and contrast the civilian justice system (see any inequalities there?) with the military justice system. Obviously nothing is perfect, and all any system can really do is to strive to improve itself...P.S. Did you know Keith Clisby M.D. here in Oregon? He like my father (still living) were both born in 1906, they were both involved [Clisby was a one-star with the Oregon Guard[he was a surgeon in the Portland area] spent literally decades trying to improve the inequities they came accross in both the civilian and military legal systems. Some people talk and write about things, others try to do something about it. I found that those who spend a lot of time bellowing, are usually somewhat "messed" up in possessing an informed perspective...but it's never too late to re-assess one's viewpoint by updating new information with limited information, or even coming to terms that their are people out there who like to lie (also by omission) about most any topic that supports a far left moonbat agenda..."Airborne...all the way."

To all: There is, unfortunately, a type of personality whose refuge in armed forces, in any nation, is simply to provide opportunity for their indiscriminate and often overwhelming resort to violence, at any opportunity. Sometimes, even those in command and control are so driven...with such indications as an exploration of torture techniques --waterboarding and similar no-win methods built on inducing such pain the victim will admit to ANYthing simply to escape it. Generals at top levels, from Smedley Butler of the Marines on through Ike Eisenhower and others, fully familiar with this inescapable reality found in every national security force, made some strong statements re the military cabal and its surrounding highly lucrative arms suppliers. Thank you again, Dr. L., for strong insights based on your own personal experience --and it is a sure thing that you were a combatant, too !!
