Cracking down on kids, a priority in Beverly Hills. |
(BEVERLY HILLS) - Ever wonder what life is really like for the so-called privileged teenagers of Beverly Hills, California? You might be surprised. While known for its infinite riches, a recent press release issued by Beverly Hills Police tells of a multi-agency law enforcement raid on the city's high school with drug dogs.
The police and deputies gave children of some of the nation's wealthiest family's a clear and memorable example of how local law enforcement authorities prioritize post-pubescent arrests to other police work, like discovering bodies of dead actresses before their remains literally mummify.
I can just imagine how traumatizing the multi-agency police drug raid must have been for this school's student population. They were subjected to a tactical police raid with trained dogs that Beverly Hills PD says were used as "a force multiplier", against high school kids.
Sick.
They executed this Multi-Agency Search at Beverly Hills High School Wednesday, 21 December 2011, at approximately 10:15 a.m.
These halls of learning were invaded by four different agencies: Beverly Hills Police Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Beverly Hills Unified School District.
In their search of the Beverly Hills High School campus, according to their press release:
"The law enforcement agencies and school district personnel focused their efforts on detecting and recovering illegal narcotics. Narcotics detecting K9’s (dogs) were utilized during the search which were a force multiplier, allowing for a more efficient search."
The rights of these kids and their families were trashed from what I can see. What message do the police really make by bringing these tactics to a high school?
Of course one can assume that the kids of Beverly Hills High must be awfully high if their own school cops can't handle their school drug problems without help. Too bad the Beverly Hills PD is apparently incapable of being able to lend sufficient backup without calling LAPD and the LA County Sheriff.
My thought was that they must have information on a major drug dealing operation; something dangerous for the student body to co-exist with.
What the four police agencies found in their massive, highly orchestrated raid of a kid's school, was that two juveniles, "were arrested for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana on school grounds and they were charged with 11357(e) of the Health and Safety Code. The juveniles were subsequently transported to the Beverly Hills Police Department for booking."
Whoa... That's some bad shit, good thing those rich-city cops are on the beat with all of their fellow cop buddies who know how to use taxpayer money for outrageous and frankly, embarrassing operations, that sound like something out of the dark days of fascism.
According to their press release, "It is the Beverly Hills Police Department’s goal to assist in recovering any dangerous narcotics from the Beverly Hills High School campus in order to help discourage drug use and promote an environment that fosters safety and learning."
Learning about Civil Rights and what it means to be an American citizen, or at least what it used to mean, would be a good use of time. People elect their city officials, I would view this as one more wake-up call and honestly, I think it is a totally funny and more than humiliating exercise in police work to roll out resources like that and come back with less than two ounces of pot.

to anon 2:59.. all I am trying to say, is the same people who caused the child behavior, are the same ones who are bringing in the swat teams..As mentioned, this was all planned. Lets find the root of the problem, instead of throwing swat teams at the kids. The root of the problem takes a bit of research because tv and skools dont teach it..You HAVE to take it on your own to learn... On a lighter note, if you have not seen the movie "the substitute" its kinda worth a view..A former military guy becomes a substitute teacher.. Now THAT is an idea! Oh and anon, you are correct about the lawsuits..I was chatting with a friend yesterday and came to the conclusion that all these trial lawyers etc, should be waterboarded. :-) All these lawsuits have to stop, not just in skools, but the medical profession etc.

OMG how terrible it is. I'm sure ths School Psychologist is booked out for the rest of the year. These poor traumatized children, they never get over it. And if they turn in to criminals I'm sure the rotten ACLU lawyer will blame a buch of K9. Get real people, someone has to get the drugs out of these schools. The dogs are doing a great job. They should use them more often. Welcome to the real world of drugs. And only because they are a bunch of spoiled rich kids from Beverly Hills does not mean that they get treated with gloves. I'm sure one of the daddies is going to make a Lifetime movie out of this one. "my child was traumatized by a dru sniffing K9". Funny

I taught my kids about history, (true history), the founding fathers, the constitution, etc. My kids KNOW that this is not about safety, its about government control. My kids know that giving up your liberties for temporary safety, leaves you neither... If you want your kids to be slaves to the system, enjoy. But I do suggest you start reading some books..

I am not a regular viewer of television, nor do I worry about my children getting involved in negative behavior. Maybe anonymous at 2:13 is projecting regarding his kids and his daily behavioral pattern?

thanks editor: I think I may have made a mistake and cut my own self off, thanks for taking the time to notice. I cant even remember what I wrote after reading a couple comments from here...another anon and amanda. They dont realize, that the same people who cause the damage of our children, are the same ones who PLANNED it all, and the police state etc. Its all in their books if people would choose to read instead of watching tv. They told it all out..End the family, make people totally reliant on government etc..Its all in their books written decades ago.. Kissinger, zybrinksi, etc etc.. If you do not think their "social engineering" is powerful, look what they did with the womens lib movement. They changed out total society. I think women should be equal of course, but they took that and ran with it. The least reason was getting more taxes, the MAIN reason was...two parents working, the state gets your kids during the day, and their video games and tv get them by night, while you are in your own room watching tv because you are tired of a hard days work...All planned, and the likes of anon at 7:55 and amanda buy right into it. Its not the KIDS that are the problem,...it is YOU.

It is a sad state of affairs, that it is "Necessary" to raid schools for drugs. If parents had a better hold on their kids behavior and habits, it would not come to this. We are raising a degenerate youth of future gang members and a threat to every neighborhood. Every school should have the facilities, to check more often and weed out the undesireables.

This stuff has been going on for years..Last year swat teams invaded a friggin elementary skool and scared the crap out of the kids. It was a drill, but they wanted to make it
Editor: I think maybe your comment was cut off? Feel free to resend, thanks.

You should realize that several of the parents of these kids would have been tipped off of an impending raid, thus the kids would have also been tipped off. The positive impact of a raid like this, or in any other school, is that bringing drugs of any kind to school has a liability. Teachers frequently complain about behavior issues to their principals, and in our "sue everyone" climate, it takes these kinds of incursions to shake some sense into the kids. Of course in most urban areas many schools have full time law enforcement patrolling the hallways on a regular basis. There are reasons for that type of incursion, and that is mainly based on violent behavior. Tough to be in law enforcement in today's cities because of the timidity of school boards, so good people are staying away from this profession, except in non-urban locations where we have responsible no-nonsense leadership. These kids need hardball structure, or time to expell at a higher rate so kids who want to learn, can.

We saw this at Salem high schools a couple decades ago. It was deplorable then, as well... They argued that they could look through any locker and contents thereof as well as use dogs to direct their searches. I saw them take down innocent kids because the dogs smelled something on them. It was a time that foretold of the police state we are now living in.
